Sad to see all those imps smashed. Good derby though. There's still a Lot of imperials out there though unlike a Chevy wagon.

I am sure there are others on here that know more - but I have been going to the Pine City show for a few years, have done graphics for quite a few guys who run the Imp only show - rules are stock front bumper I believe. None of these guys give a damn about anything else but wrecking birds to put on a show. A lot of them run other full weld cars, some I have only seen run this class. These guys know what they are doing with the rules they have to work with that's for sure.

One good show to watch, lot of time spent on them builds ($, good parts, steel, welding, paint and WATER).... I think this show build is different from Zembrota MN and Balsum Lake WI demo derby builds! Always like watching this show and looking at the rides after......

I am not a huge imp fan, but it is fun watching this show! Like I said before, it would be nice if it was not a muddy and maybe not so many cars at one time. I think there would be less pushing and way harder hitting!! Still it is a really good heat to watch!!

Weather conditions may of played a factor with this year and last years track conditions prior to derby. I have been to a few of their derby shows and don't believe the track is made muddy. Normally its drier. 2015 track was dry (seemed fire dept sprayed track to settle dust and have a safe track, not make mud or keep cars at a snails pace) and there were hard HITS.

It down poured the day before, had to cancel tractor pull, a bunch of stuff. Once that much moisture is there just needs time to dry.
Also, believe its a straight tread only track for insurance purposes.
