I'd never run an aluminum bumper on the front. I put a lightly loaded 79 Grenada on my 86 caprice and I absolutely trashed an 85 caprice who left his aluminum one on. His tore into 3 pieces. Then after that frame rails start bending really weird. You need a good bumper if you wanna run the car more than once, and to keep people from driving through your radiator IMO.

Is a 77 Grad Prix bumper different from a 76 - 75 grad Prix? Yes. 77's have 2 slots/holes whereas 75-76 are solid.

Is one better then the other for demo?
If used do they both need to be mounted up side down?

I used the rear off a 1076 Grand Prix on my brothers 77 Buick(same frame). I bolted the driver using the stock holes and slotted the passenger side about 2 inches to fit. It holds up real good on the metric rails IMO. A real hard bumper will blow the rail to fast on metric I'd rather have my loaded Monte than any other bumper on the front of a metric GM.
