Nice front frame on that car. Don't see many cars with that big crossbeam up front tieing the 2 frame rails together. What you going to do for core support? Thats what I was thinking too, i want to see more pictures of that cross beam, is it aluminium or steel, lots of holes in it or solid. frame rails wont be twisting on that if done right.

Front of that cradle looks like a good place to hang a radiator to me

Well the cross beam isent as stout as it looks. It's open on the bottom but I was still happy to find it under the bumper, I didn't think there was anything there. As far as core support I've been told that one from most W bodys bolt in quite nicely hopefully I can make it to the junkyard and find one in time. Radiator off the cradle is a great idea. I have a heavier brass radiator I want to mount up, hoses are opposite but wouldn't be hard to extend the hoses. Rules say radiator needs to be in stock location but I suppose it still would be kinda.rules say nothing about stock mounting points exactly

I was considering cutting the whole thing short and getting rid of the cross bar altogether (or maybe sliding cross bar back to use as radiator mounting point ) because I thought it looked kinda cheesy and the bumper should accomplish the same thing.

Yeah infront of motor so I suppose off the cage would be fine since it doesn't say anything about stock mounting brackets just location so it would still be where it supposed to be it just wont be connected to the frame anymore and would keep it from getting twisted up. Also I can weld my bumper brackets solid to the frame so that will completely box the front of the frame horns making the front even more solid.

Keeping stuff outta harms way if possible is always easier then cheating a tin radiator support.

tweaked my cradle a bit and mounted my Nissan 720 brass radiator. ran it for about 15 minutes at 4k with no fan and the temp stayed right in the middle. looks like you got lots of room there for the radiator. Wished I could take credit for the idea but I'm sure you planned it that way before I mentioned it. So impressed with build quality here, keep it up.

oh no credit earned tater. it may have dawned on me to do it like that but hadent crossed my mind at that point. Hit the junk yard today to get some back up rims and was about to leave when I seen a nice little bumper on a Mitsubishi eclipse. about 6 inches shorter on each side and about a inch shorter in the hight , but it's channeled on the back and seems strong as hell so I threw it on after some modifying.

Triple 3 is almost ready for the party. Got my 5-15s mounted and tubed up and much like a honey badger they don't give a f$ck . they work too well actually and I ripped the passenger side axle clean out. I had the suspension as high as I could get so the axles were at a pretty aggressive angle. Dropped it down a couple of inches and now there pretty straight. so hopefully That won't happen again.

In fear of ripping out the other axle I went ahead and replaced both with brand new ones. I know now that having 20 year old half shafts at a extreme angel while turning at full throttle with tires that grip like Satan himself is a really bad combination. I got the angles down sacerficing a bit of elevation And noticed the maybe 1/8th inch plastic steering stoppers were busted off so I welded a couple pices of 1/2 inch square tube to the stoppers. Losing a bit of stearing radius but keeping the angles down on the cv joints.

I was given a Volvo 850 turbo wagon but the guy took the turbo off. I was wondering if it will run good enough for a county Fair derby?

I'd love to see a Volvo and a w go head on. I know absolutely nothing bout volvos and see how they'd compare to the crown Vic of the compact scene.
