should be a tank when it's done . need to do some finishing touches on the cage. Mount my seat and harness, get the ecu and engine harness tucked out of harms way, trans cooler etc... A little bit of this and that the longest part of any build... Finishing touches and what not. Your cage looks well built and designed but I believe I would use larger stock next fresh build you do.

Something I'm gonna probably try that another guy who runs fwd Volvo's told me If you tear out that plastic core support you can fit in a way stronger one off of most w-body cars like Buick century,Chevy lumina, Monte Carlo, impala etc..

That 2x2 holds up real well. Did a early 90's Toyota for my buddy last year for import class and no other imports showed up so he ran against the full size cars and placed 3rd. The cage was well built and had no problems. We're going to run it again this year. I did put more thought into it on this one and made it even better than the last one. wasn't trying to imply it don't hold up but larger stock, more coverage area is my thought. I use 1/4" 2x4 on mine.

No worries. I just think running the three 2" side bars gives me more coverage and spreads the load.

I hear that. The rules here have a lot of grey zones. For the cage it says 3 cross bars 2x2 minimum .Dash, behind seat and optional 1" forward of rear wheel wells and for the side bars it says just that, side bars as long as it equals to a minimum of 4" and I'm allowed down bars to the floor drivers door only. So the way I read it is I can have as many side bars as I want and there's no mention of gussets which are neither side or cross so I'm contemplating on if I should add gussets or not because it's kinda in the grey zone :/

It may have a limited slip, but it doesn't necessarily. In a fwd transaxle configuration there's no torque giving one axle more traction than they other so they both pull equally as long as they're both on equal surface, etc.

Nice front frame on that car. Don't see many cars with that big crossbeam up front tieing the 2 frame rails together.
What you going to do for core support?
