Got a Buick Regal bumper welded on with 8” bumper shocks. The shocks will but up against the 3/4” Althread once the abs unit is removed. Once i get some insight how this front is going to bend ill weld on a cheap mans pointy with a different build. side note does anyone know what a stock level crown vic bumper sits at to the top of the bumper or to the bottom doesnt matter? its 22" to the top of this bumper, dont really want anything clearing my bumper want to hit with the frame rails

Since you got it on your ramp set up can you post some underneath pics of engine cross member, tranny member, rearend/ control arm set up. See how ztr brackets could work for them an that an curious how these look to see if it would hold up with some welding done. I'd like to see how the frame is shaped at firewall an how the engine cross member bolts in to see how close they are to a pinch framer or if a pinch framer or a dippy cross member would fit in it to make it torsion bar set up.

I can do that I will get a bunch of pictures and upload either tonight or tomorrow morning. engine cross member is a beefed subframe at least on this 3.5. not sure on the 5.7 i havnt put that guy on the ramp yet to see the differences yet.

Online says they are 75 inchs wide. So curious how a nine inch or 14 bolt would fit under it. Looks like you could make one fit with some fab brackets to fit it

youtu.be/rTiH6ak0GawEngine cross member is a crush point in these. This view under it during crash shows it. Thought it was a neat video that could help build up the weak points.

Thought it was a neat video that could help build up the weak points. first, those got to be the cleanest cars ive ever seen. are you able to get any of those cars? the under view was neat never seen an underview crash test before. that aluminum trans mount snapped with no effort, looks like itd be easy to make a steel brace. swapping rear ends is do able, a guy up here in ontario swapped 1, not sure what he put under it but he did swap for a solid axle. Paris prostock if your interested in seeing it. 727 was his #

It's a website I found with all the pics to show what all them cars had for frames. In crash test it dint look like k frame is built to bend much but after we start modify them it changes. I think they car be a competitive car with right builder

Looks like you could cut a bunch of the rails off up front to reduce leverage.
