Battery cable and welding cable is ALMOST the same thing. Theres a good chance I'd make them out of 2/0 welding cable. Thoughts? in my 69' I've got the battery in the trunk and that's what's been on it for 18yrs.

That's how I've done all of mine in the past... That's what I've always used. Also when my farm store didn't have anything, bought a bigger set of jumper cables and separated them. Cut off the clamps, put on my ends and went.

2/0 welding cable is more flexible then the battery 2/0. Easier to route through the car and engine bay. I find the insulator coating is soft on welding cable tho and is easier to cut on sharp edges.

I run my cables in heater hose or garden hose as an added precaution. At least on positive side. Not so much on ground side. But on the ground side I run to body and seperatly to engine. I also ground my battery box as I have solinoids mounted on it to run 12\24. Never can be too careful with wiring.

I ran 220 arc welding cable, had a fire once and laughed at the local fire department when they tried to cut my ccables with $5 bolt cutters. Otherwise, never had a problem.

I'm curious why you think there is a demand for super good battery cables. I've been running the same walmart tractor cables for 6-8 years now probably and haven't had an issue. Why would i want to go with whatever you might sell?

if you are the only one that messes with them....use the red cable for negative and black for positive....gives people something else to look at besides....something else

Why would i want to go with whatever you might sell? Because, if someone has made it and markets it, it's gotta be the best and better than anything you can do. Like a sealed switch panel with a flat 4 trailer wiring plug. Or a bunch of angle iron welded up as a SBC into Mopar cradle. Or my favorite, homemade bumpers.

Also as saskbanger mentioned I run multiple grounds, battery to Bat box, bat box to chassis of car. Often keep the stock ground cable and run it to the rad support for another ground. Idk if how much it helps but it can't hurt anything especially since I run efi.

Never hurts to have extra

How does everyone hook up accessories to your battery? Trying to find a better way
