When signing up I need entry forms from each person on teams. Money may be put together or separately. Need a team name, colors and team captain on each form. Must be 2 colors. If someone already has the colors you will be asked to change it. Send entrys to my house address, NOT FAIRGROUND!!If we don't receive at least 8 teams we will run derby normal and use last years payout. Each person will receive $40 back. 2016 Fullsize 4 man team Rules Any American made hardtop sedan or wagon is permitted (with a few exceptions). No pre 1967 Chrysler Imperials (full frames), convertibles, limos, jeeps, hearses, or 4-wheel drive cars.
1. All entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older. Any participant under 18 years of age must have a parent sign a release at the Senior Fair Office. 2. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license. 3. The Erie County Agricultural Society or any of its members will not be held responsible for injuries or damage to cars, entrants, and mechanics or car owners. 4. The Erie County Agricultural Society reserves the right to accept or reject any or all entries. 5. Cars must be removed from the grounds within 24 hours following the event or the car will be towed away at the owner’s expense. 6. The pit area will be open for pre-derby inspection at 7:00a.m on the day of the event. 7. All entrants must be in the pit area by 12:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8. All decisions by the Derby Officials are final! 9. The first heat will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. 10. Entry fee is $100 per person!! 11. One free pit member for every car entry 12. Pit entry is $20.00 13. No entry fees will be returned to entrants found to have an illegal car. 14. All drivers must attend the driver’s meeting with the time and location to be announced. 15. No 2-way radios allowed.
DRIVING RULES 1. When a car becomes disabled, the drivers are to remain in their cars, with helmets on. Any pit member that enters the arena at any time, the driver will forfeit all winnings. 2. Any car sitting still, during a heat or feature, for more than 60 seconds will be disqualified. 3. No driver’s door hits! 4. NO SANDBAGGING!! Or you will be disqualified!!!!!! 5. Any car catching fire or spilling fuel will be disqualified. If problem was able to be fixed the car will be allowed back in for the free-for-all once re-inspected
Inspection 1. Only the driver will be permitted with each entry into the inspection area. No spectators permitted. 2. Each entry will ONLY be permitted one additional attempt through the inspection area. Build your vehicles to the rules! 3. All entries will be required to open hoods in the inspection area. 4. All entries must be inspected one hour prior to show time! 5. No refunds will be awarded for illegal entries.
Safety 1. Remove all glass, fiberglass, headlights, taillights, trim, interior, trailer hitches, etc. Cars must be swept clean. No junk tires, wheels, metal parts, etc. allowed. 2. All rear seats and floor decking must be removed. Any sharp or protruding fins must be cut off the vehicle. 3. Standard safety belt, DOT approved helmet, and eye protection (face shield or safety glasses) are required. Neck braces are highly recommended. Fire retardant suits, clothing, and head sock is recommended. 4. Drivers MUST wear long sleeved shirts and long pants during their heat. NO shorts allowed!! 5. All hoods must have a 12” x 12” square hole directly cut above the carb. All hood hinge springs must be removed. All hood/trunk latches must be removed. 6. Firewalls may not be totally removed. If holes are cut for clearance purposes, the hole must be covered by something fireproof. If patched with metal, the metal must not be thicker than 16 gauge. 7. No spray devises or cans permitted in the vehicle. 8. All vehicles must have dependable brakes at all times. 9. Stock gas tanks must be removed from the original position. A replacement tank must be securely fastened in the rear section (no farther forward than the back of the front seat) of the driver’s compartment. Steel gas tanks or Neoprene construction approved tanks may be used. No original tanks permitted. Gas tank must be securely fastened by means other than ratchet straps or wire. Tanks must be securely bolted to the floor. Tanks must be covered in a fireproof fashion. Any vehicle that spills gas will be disqualified immediately. 10. Electric fuel pumps are permitted, but the switch must be CLEARLY marked with ON/OFF. 11. Stock batteries must be removed from the original position. A battery must be located in the driver’s compartment and securely fastened to the floor. The battery must also be covered. 12. No drinking of alcoholic beverages in the track, or pit area. Any driver or pit crew member under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately disqualified. Coolers will be inspected. 13. No profanity will be permitted on any vehicle. 14. No hot-rodding in the pit or staging area. (Driver will be disqualified) 15. Failure of the driver or vehicle to adhere to any of the rules will result in a disqualification.
Engines/transmissions/electrical/fuel 1. Engines may be changed from car to car (GM to Ford, Ford to Chrysler) 2. Engines mounts may be welded in solid or engine cradle may be used. Extreme cradles may be used but may not help strenging car in any way. Nothing wider than the outside of headers. 3. No motor plates to frame! 4. Four 3/8 chains max may go from engine to engine cradle. No chains to frame! 5. Distributor Protectors allowed but must be no wider than 14". 6. Transmission cooler permitted. 7. Transmission protector permitted. May be bolted to dp but must stay close to trans and not help streanging the car what so ever. Must be 1" from front bar!! 8. All cars must have the air cleaner secured to the carburetor. 9. One battery may be used. Must be moved to the passenger area inside of car. Must be securely fastened to the floor and be covered up with a fire restiant material. 10. Radiator must be in stock location. 11. Gas tanks must be securely fastened to the floor in back seat area or the gas tank protector. 10 gallons max. Gas line must be doubled and gas tanks must be covered up with a fire resistant material. Gas tank vent must exit out of car. 12. Oil pans and transmission pan may be plated. Must not go 1'' past pans.
Frame 1. No seam welding, plating, pinning, heat treating, or stuffing the frames what so ever! 2. No painting of the frames!!!!!!!!! Will not be inspected!!! 3. Patching of rust will be permitted. Must be same gauge steel. Must be butt welded, no overlapping. Call first and have picture! 4. Frames may be drilled if to believe any metal was added. 5. All factory holes must remain and untouched. 6. Tilting of frames may be done in a single area!!!! 1. Factory seams may be cut at boxes and pushed down, you may only weld the welds you cut. All factory holes must be left untouched.2. You may cold bend at cross member or cut at cross member. (No tilting anywhere other than those two areas!!!!!! 7. You may use 4'' angle 6'' long 1/4'' max for bolting of your cross member. These angles may be over bend if done at cross member. Must be at least 12'' within factory location. 8. Cross members can be no bigger than 3'' tubing, c channel, angle. 9. Notch and dimpling frame in rear ok. No rewelding seams or notches. 10. Shortening of front frame permitted. However if it is shortened past the factory core support mounting location, No bumper shocks or bumper brackets can be used. You may only use a plate between bumper and frame 6''x6''x1/4'' thick max. That’s it! You may weld a 4''x4''x1/4'' thick Plate to frame to attach core support. Cannot be no more than 1'' on frame and no gussets can be used! No welding core support spacer or core support to frame! (Any questions regarding shortening please call) 11. No shortening of rear frame! 12. 3/8'' max chain, cable or #9 wire may be BOLTED from frame rail to frame rail behind rear humps. 13. Humps plates will be allowed on all cars!!!! No longer than 24'', no wider than 3'' and no thicker than 1/4''.They must run straight across and not angle down what so ever. You must have at least a 2'' gap between bottom of hump and hump plate! 14. On 2003 and newer fords you may use an 80's and newer ford steel cradle. They must be put in like there factory counterparts only using the factory brackets. No other metal may be used. They must be in factory location and cannot be moved forward. A-arm must be in factory location, no moving them forward. You may use a spring pocket off an older model. No more than 3-3'' welds on spring pocket. You may not alter frame in any matter other than attaching factory brackets and steel cradle. All components must only have a single bead of weld. All factory holes must be open! 15. Chrysler imperial sub frames may be swapped in other Chrysler produced cars or wagons. No extra metal may be used when doing this. Must be mounted in factory matter, other than making new body mount holes if needed.
Bumpers/Shocks/Brackets 1. Loaded bumpers allowed!! Must appear factory!! You can add anything inside bumper, nothing on outside. Holes may be plated 2. Trailer hitches must be removed! 3. Any OEM car bumper permitted. (Dec bumpers permitted) 4. Bumper seams may be welded, bumper ends may be wrapped and welded or trimmed. 5. Bumpers may be hard-nosed. 6. Bumper shocks and bumper brackets must be factory, nothing homemade. Any bumper shocks or bumper brackets may be used. Must be on the outside and on the side of frame! 7. If bumper shocks are used inside of frame, you may only bolt end of shock through frame no more than 5'' behind core support. Or you may plug weld end of shock to frame no further than 5'' behind core support. No more than a 1'' plug weld. 8. If bumper brackets are used, it may only go 5'' past core support. Extra must be cut off! 9. Either a bumper shock inside frame or bumper brackets can be used. Not both! One or the other! 10. If a car came factory with no bumper brackets or bumpers shocks. You can either use a bumper bracket and shock or bumper shock inside frame, or you may hard nose bumper and use the factory brackets the car came with.(follow rule 6/rule 7/rule 8/rule 9) 11. Any questions regarding bumper shocks or bumper brackets please call!! 12. On 2003 and new fords. If you utilize the rules correctly, shocks to be no more than 1/2” behind the center of the last crush zone!!!!!!! (Please call if any questions, for some reason nobody can read a tape measure!!!!)
Front Suspension 1. A-arms may be welded or bolted for desired height. Material must not exceed 2''wide 4''long and 1/4'' thick (top a-arms only/2 plates per a-arm). A-arms may not be strengthened in any way!! A-arms may be plug welded in center. 2. If sway bars are left on you must use stock brackets on frame. You may weld factory bracket to frame. Must be in stock location. Sway bars may be welded or bolted to lower a arms. Sway bars must not touch pulley protectors (at least 1'' gap). 3. Must use stock front shocks (suspension). 4. No aftermarket or reinforced spindles!!
Rear Suspension 1. Coil springs may be swapped and welded in. 2. No leaf conversions. Stock-leafed cars must run stock leafs, mounted in stock location, with stock hangers. If broken springs needs replaced, factory step downs and thickness are required. No custom made leaf packs, leafs over mains, or inverted spring permitted. 3. Four spring clamps may be used on leaf packs. No thicker than 1/4'' and no wider that 2'' may be used. Two in front of axel and two behind axel. No welding or bolting of leaf springs or clamps to body or frame. No welding spring together and no duct tape on springs. 4. If watts link car is used, u may use brackets of earlier model and must be installed similar to early model. (Ztr brackets permitted) 5. If package tray is swapped in watts link car with earlier model car, you must leave 1’ of previous package tray and overlap new package tray no more than ½”. Must be is factory position and must be welded to package tray only. Not to frame!! 6. Lower Trailing arms may be plated and strengthen or 2'' square tubing 1/4'' thick may be used. Uppers may be reinforced of 4'' 1/4'' thick max square tubing may be used. 7. Two pieces of 1” max all-thread may be attached vertically from the rear end through the cross-member located between the humps (above rear end) to adjust rear suspension height. All-thread may not be attached to frame in any other location. If no location exists to attach all-thread, a driver may weld two washers 4”x4” in two locations onto the body (sheet metal) directly above the rear end to fasten all-thread through. 8. Frame no lower than 14’’. Bumper no lower than 15’’
Rear ends/tires/wheels 1. Any car or truck rear end will be permitted (maximum 8 lugs). 2. Rear end bracing allowed but may not strengthen the car or frame in any way. 3. Any tire, any ply, doubled tires allowed. No liquid-filled or studded tires. No screws in rims. No split rims. 4. 16.5” maximum size. 5. Wheels may be reinforced 6.No metal may cover or protect tires!!
Body 1. Body mount rubbers may be removed. If they are removed, a 1/2” spacer must be replaced (not to exceed 3” in diameter) between body and frame. Spacer may not be welded to the body or the frame in any manner. 2. Replacement body bolts may be used. Maximum bolt size is 5/8”. Washers not to exceed 3” in diameter or standard thickness (1/4”). 3. No extra body mounts permitted. 4. Body bolts may not travel through both sides of the frame. Body must be bolted to the top of the frame. 5. Absolutely no body seam welding!!! 6. Floorboard rust may be patched. Metal may not be thicker than 1/16”. The overlap of new and old metal must not exceed 2”. Original floorboards may remain. Official’s discretion on abuse. 7. Body creasing allowed 8. Cutting fenders for wheel clearance is allowed. Bolting of wheel wells permitted. Four bolts 1/2'' max may be used in each wheel well. No welding of wheel wells. 9. No bolting of body unless already stated.
Doors 1. Doors must be fastened shut by wire, chain, or welding. No loose doors permitted. 2. If welded, use steel no wider than 3” and no thicker than 1/4”. If steel is thicker or wider, it will be cut completely off to run. 3. Strapping may not be attached to the frame in any manner. 4. Doors may be welded all the way around. 5. If wired or chained, use enough to securely and safely fasten the door. No wiring or chaining to the frame. 6. A protection plate may be welded over the original driver’s door skin. It may not be thicker than ¼” and must remain within the boundaries of below the window, behind the clip/door seam, in front of the front/back door seam, above the bottom of the driver’s door. 7. Top of doors may be smashed together and seam welded. No metal may be used.
Trunk/Tailgate 1. Deck lids and tailgates may be wired and/or welded. Six locations of wire may be used with two strands of wire in each location. Locations may be from sheet metal to sheet metal or from sheet metal to bumper. No wiring directly to the frame. If welded, must be 5'' on 5'' off using no wider than 3'' and 1/4'' thick plate max! These plates may not be overlapped. They may only attach to the deck lid/tailgate to the adjacent metal (quarters, rear cowl, etc.). They may not attach to the trunk floor or the bumper. A mandatory 12” x 12” inspection hole must be cut in the center of the deck lid if it is welded shut. Wired trunks must be left open for inspection. 2. Washers may be welded onto the sheet metal and bumper for wiring. Maximum outside diameter of washers is 3”. 3. Quarter panels must remain in stock position!!! You may tuck the trunk lid, or v the trunk lid. Must be off floor. Again!!! Quarter panels must remain in stock position!!!! 4. Pounding down or removing speaker deck panel permitted. 5. No welding of trunk or tailgate seams is permitted. 6. No painting of the inside of trunks will be permitted. It will be cut open if it is. 7. Must use stock truck lid. (Newer fords may use older box style lids)
Cage 1. Drivers may install a four bar safety cage in their vehicles. Cage material may not exceed 6” in diameter. Cages must be welded to body only (not to the floor). 2. One bar may be put across the dash area (above the steering wheel) and another behind the driver’s seat. These bars may be attached to the body with two plates (not to exceed 8” wide and ¼” thick). These bars must run horizontally across the car. 3. Front Bar must be 1 inch from distributor protector 4. One bar may be put along the inside of both the driver’s and passenger’s door. No bars may not extend forward past the dash bar 5. Cage cannot be further back than where the kick panel meets the rear seat area. 6. All cage components must be at least 6'' off floor. 7. Exterior halo bars are permitted. Material may not exceed 6” in diameter. It must be attached to the rear cage bar (not to floor). It may be attached to roof in three locations via bolting or welding. All halo bars must travel straight across the roof at the same point (or approximate) they attach to the cage. No angling back or forward with the halo bar will be permitted. 8. Gas tank protectors are permitted. May not exceed 24'' in width. Must be center on back bar and be centered between frame. Must be a 1 inch gap between gas tank protector and rear decking. Must be 6'' off floor. 9. One rear window bar permitted. Can be welded or bolted no more than 6'' on the roof. Bottom must be to speaker tray. If speaker tray is removed, it must not be any further back than where it was. No more than 6'' may be welded to speaker tray area. 2'' tubing 1/4'' thick max, or 3'' wide by 1/4'' thick flat stock max may be used. 10. One front window bar permitted. Welded or bolted no more than 6'' on roof. Bottom may be welded or bolted to firewall no more than 6''. Cannot touch distributor protector!
Hood/Front clip 1. All vehicles must have a hood in place and operable. Hoods may be bolted or wired in six locations. The front two bolts may be attached through the core support mounts on the frame, 3/4'' all thread may be used. The other bolts must attach to the core support or fenders only (not to frame). 4”x4”x1/4” plates may be attached to core support/fenders to mount the hood bolts. 3/4'' bolts max. Hoods must cover fans. 2. 2'' tubing max for spacing core support. May be welded to factory core support mount. Not frame! 3. Two strands of wire may be used from core support/fenders to the front bumper. 4. Front fenders may be trimmed or folded under and bolted with two 3/8” bolts. 5. Front inner and out fender may be bolted with 4 bolts 1/2'' in size max. 6. Washers may be welded onto sheet metal, core support, and bumper for wiring. Maximum outside diameter of washers is 3”. 7. 12” x 12” square hole over the engine may be bolted with two 3/8” bolts per side (8 total bolts) OR may have the inner webbing and outer skin welded together.
PRE RAN CAR 1. Pre ran cars may fix door tears and holes. Must be no thicker than 1/16”. May not overlap tear or hole no more than 1''. No overkill on plating (officials’ desions!) 2. Pre ran’s may have a total of 4 fix-a-plates. If plates are used there must be visual damage where the plates are used. Again no more than 4 fix-a-plates on frame. 4''x4'' 1/8'' thick max! 3. Reclipping frames permitted. Must be same make and model, and same design of car. Must not be no further back than cross member. Must be butt welded with a single pass of weld. No more than 3/8'' wide. No metal may be added.
Post-Competition Inspection and Awards 1. All drivers qualifying “in the money” will have his/her car re-inspected prior to receiving any earned money. 2. To protest a particular vehicle, a $200 protest fee must be personally presented to the head track official by a driver that participated in the feature event. The protesting driver must state where he/she believes the accused car has violated the rules. If legitimate evidence is found, the accused car will be disqualified and forfeit all earned money. The protesting driver will receive a full refund of the protesting fee. The next appropriate vehicle will be re-inspected and receive the appropriate forfeited prize money. If no legitimate evidence is found, the protesting driver forfeits the $200 protest fee. 3. Cars WILL be scoped and drilled prior to and/or following our events. We want to present a fair show for all competitors.

Any fwd Car with 109” MAX WHEEL BASE. Rwd 106'' MAX WHEEL BASE & 4-6 CYLINDER ENGINE. No V8’s (No Full Frame Cars)
ENGINE: • Mounts may be chained or welded. Engine swapping is allowed, GM to Ford, Ford to Chrysler etc. Headers to exit straight up through hood.
GAS TANK: • All factory gas tanks must be removed and replaced with a METAL fuel cell, boat tank, etc and located in the back seat area. PLASTIC FUEL TANKS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Maximum 5-gallons. • Fuel tanks must be securely fastened & covered before inspection. All tanks must be vented outside of vehicle. • Electric fuel pump may be used. Must have on & off switch clearly marked on dash. • Gas tank protectors may be used. Must be NO WIDER THAN 24” & 2" OFF FROM REAR PANEL NO KICKERS IN ANY DIRECTION. 3" maximum dimension & l /4” maximum thickness of material. ELECTRICAL & BATTERY: • One battery of any size may be used. Must be securely fastened & covered in drivers compartment before inspection . Solenoid, modules, regulator, etc. May be moved but must remain under hood and in front of firewall.
DRIVERS COMPARTMENT: • May have a 4 point cage around driver’s compartment for safety. Maximum material dimension is 3-in. bar, square tube, channel, etc. One bar may be located behind the driver’s seat, across dash, and two connecting bars along driver and passenger doors. • The bar behind the seat can sit no further back than 6-in. past the front door post. • A roll over bar is permitted. May NOT be attached to frame or floor. • The cage bars may be attached to the sheet metal only with a maximum 6”x6”x1/4” plate. Cage may NOT be attached to frame or floor. If the cage bars are not welded securely, they must be removed in order to participate. This is a safety concern.
TRANSMISSION: • Trans cooler may be used, must have some type of shield protecting driver in case of cooler rupture. All cooler line must be covered.
TIRES/WHEELS: • Any wheel or tire may be used (with the exception of beadlock wheels for safety reasons). No wheel weights, no studded tires. Valve stem protectors may be used.
FRAME: • MUST BE STOCK, No plating frame for any reason inside or outside. No welding frame seams anywhere for any reason. • Body mounts must remain in place or replaced with like material, (NO STEEL SPACERS); Except for the front sub-frame/K-member mount. Only the front mount can be bolted solid OR welded to body with a 3x3x¼” plate. • Body bolts may be changed but no larger than 5/8 bolt with 3"x3" washer. • Notching or pre-bending frame is allowed. Strap or chain may be used from hump to hump but cannot go around axle. If frame is pre-bent or notched NO adding metal or welding permitted @ bend point.
SUSPENSION: • Front suspension may be solid. If welded, a maximum 2”x2”x1/4” plate is allowed on front and rear of upper A-arms. Bottom A-arms may NOT be welded in any way. • Rear suspension may be solid. Coil spring swap is permitted. NO leaf spring conversions. • Strut towers can be welded to obtain ride height or replaced with 2”x2” tubing on front and rear.
BUMPERS: • NO LOADED BUMPERS. ANY YEAR FACTORY BUMPER. Seam welding is permitted. Manufactured or aftermarket bumpers are NOT permitted. Must be able to see into the ends of the FRONT & REAR bumpers. If ends are rolled a 2x2 inch inspection hole must be put into the end of the bumper. No plating of vent or turn signal holes. • Bumper may be welded to plate & plate welded to frame. NO EXTRA PLATE OR BRACING. • Bumper brackets, factory bumper shocks or fabricated shocks (up to 2-in x 2-in.) may be used. Either type may not extend further than 5-in. past stock core support mount (location) or longer than 10-in. total length, measured from the back of the bumper. Anything past must be cut off. If bumper shock is inside of frame a 1-in. hole must be put in side of frame to see the end of shock. If front frame is shortened, the bumper shock may not extend past the factory core support mount.
BODY: • No inner body seam welding for any reason. • Doors may be bolted, chained, wired or welded in (6) locations per door. If welded, plates to be a maximum of 4”x4”x1/4”. Only the driver’s door may be fully welded/reinforced, may not extend more than 3-in. past driver’s door seams. • Trunk may be bolted, chained, wired or welded in (10) locations. If welded, plates are to be a maximum of 4”x4”x1/4”. Quarter panels must remain in original position. The trunk deck may be V-ed, dished, tucked, or folded. Trunk deck must remain at least 6-in. off all parts of the trunk floor. Quarter panels must remain at stock height. An 8”x8” inspection hole must be cut in the trunk deck. BODY CANNOT BE WELDED TO BUMPER. • Hoods may be chained, wired or bolted in 6 places, must be opened for inspection. 2 front hood pins may go through core support & frame. 5/8” rod MAX. • A single front and rear window bar is permitted, Rear bar must be attached to speaker deck (in-between rear wheels). May not be connected to the floor, frame, roll over bar or cage material. Sheet metal to sheet metal only. • Minimum rear bumper height is 16” from bottom of bumper to ground.
RADIATOR: • Must be stock automotive type radiator & remain in original position NO ANTIFREEZE. FIX-IT-PLATES: • Fix-it-plates will be allowed on pre-ran cars only. Must have visible and significant damage. (A small dimple or bubble does NOT warrant a fix-it-plate. This is for significant damage only). • May have (2) fix-it-plates per side. Only one per side permitted in front of the A-arms. • Plates to be no larger than 4”x4”x1/4”. • Each fix it plate will be measured. Any fix-it-plates larger in size, will be trimmed to allowable size.

2016 Fullsize Truck and Compact Truck Rules
1. All entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older. Any participant under 18 years of age must have a parent sign a release at the Senior Fair Office. 2. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license. 3. The Erie County Agricultural Society or any of its members will not be held responsible for injuries or damage to cars, entrants, and mechanics or car owners. 4. The Erie County Agricultural Society reserves the right to accept or reject any or all entries. 5. Cars must be removed from the grounds within 24 hours following the event or the car will be towed away at the owner’s expense. 6. The pit area will be open for pre-derby inspection at 7:00a.m on the day of the event. 7. All entrants must be in the pit area by 3:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8. All decisions by the Derby Officials are final! 9. Entry fee is $40 10. One free pit member for every car entry 11. Pit entry is $20.00 12. No entry fees will be returned to entrants found to have an illegal car. 13. All drivers must attend the driver’s meeting with the time and location to be announced. 14. No 2-way radios allowed All preceding rules apply for FULLSIZE and COMPACT truck, except where noted. • FULLSIZE TRUCKS: Factory 1 ton, ¾ ton and ½ ton trucks, suburbans, Blazers & Broncos and other similar vehicles are allowed. • COMPACT TRUCKS: any 2 or 4 wheel drive mini truck (S-10, Blazer, Bronco II, Dakota, etc are allowed). o NO V-8 engines permitted in compact class. 4 & 6 cylinder engines only. • All 4-wheel drive models can only have one functioning drive axle. Only one driveshaft can be installed. • All trucks must have working brakes. • No additional cross braces, angle, or C-channel permitted. FRAME: • BODY & FRAME MUST BE FACTORY STOCK HEIGHT. No body or suspension lifts are permitted. • Frames must be stock. No reinforcing anywhere, for any reason. Rust holes may be patched with similar thickness & like material. No extra plating in anyway, inside or outside of frame. • Hump plates are not permitted. BODY: • All doors and tailgates may be welded solid, chained or wired. 3-inch wide x ¼-inch thick max. Tailgate may be welded to bed only, may not be welded to frame or bumper. Inside of tailgate may use 3x3x¼-in. angle, welded 6-in. on, 6-in. off. No inner seam welding anywhere but at rear tailgate/door. • All glass & chrome must be removed. • Body and bed mounts may be replaced. Beds may be welded or bolted to rear of cab. Bed must be mounted in factory locations with 5/8” max. bolts and 4”x4” plates. No additional mounts, bolts or welding. Bedsides may not be rolled, wedged, tucked, smashed or flattened in any way. • The hood must be wired, chained or bolted. May be secured in six [6] locations. Two locations may go through the core support mount to the frame. Maximum 5/8” all thread and 3-in. washers. Core support risers may be welded to frame and extend through the core support. Core support risers must be straight and 2x2-in. maximum. An 8”x8” inspection hole must be cut in hood over the air cleaner. An air cleaner must be provided. • Core support may have a 3” x 3” angle across the very TOP of the core support. • ½ Ton Trucks Only: One kicker (bar/pipe/angle) on each side may connect the angle iron on the core support to the firewall. The kickers may be no larger than 3” in diameter and may NOT extend past or through the firewall or connect to the cage. A 4”x4” plate must be used to attach the kickers to the firewall to prevent them from piercing the sheet metal and endangering the driver. (1/2 ton trucks only!! No kickers on any compact trucks, ¾ ton or 1 ton). • Driver’s compartment may have a 4 point cage. 1 bar behind seat, 1 bar across dash & connecting bars along driver and passenger sides. May also have a bar behind driver to protect the head and upper body. Cage may not extend past the firewall or outside of cab. Cage may be welded or bolted to floor/frame in (4) locations. Must run straight down. No angling to the frame. Maximum material size is 4x4-in. A single roll over bar is permitted. • A front window bar, wire or strapping must be provided to prevent hood from entering driver’s compartment. 2x2-in. maximum. May only be attached to firewall and roof. May not be attached to roll over bar. • Battery must be moved to driver’s compartment & securely fastened & covered BEFORE inspection. • Stock gas tank must be removed. Fuel cell must be mounted in bed of truck, in the center of bed, directly against the back of the cab. Must be securely fastened & covered. Electric fuel pump may be used but must have an on & off switch clearly marked in cab. NO PLASTIC TANKS. No leaks in fuel cell, fuel lines or fittings. • Gas tank protector is highly recommended. Protector may be a maximum of 24-in. wide and may be attach to frame in (2) locations. Gas tank protector may NOT extend any further than 24” from front of bed on trucks and no further behind the rear door seam on suburban type vehicles. • Radiator must be factory style radiator & remain in factory position. NO ANTIFREEZE.

WHEELS/TIRES: • Any tire may be used (with the exception of deep lug tractor tires and bead-lock wheels for safety reasons). No studded tires or split rims. Wheel weights must be removed BEFORE inspection. Valve stem protectors may be used. • Any automotive wheel may be used. Wheel centers and wheel protectors are permitted. • 1 ton trucks must be single wheel. No duals. BUMPERS: • ANY OEM STYLE FACTORY BUMPER ON FRONT & REAR. BUMPERS MAY BE SEAM WELDED. • NO LOADED BUMPERS. A 2x2-in. hole must be cut on the ends of the FRONT & REAR bumpers for easy inspection. No plating, additional metal or welding vent or light holes shut on bumpers. Seam welding permitted. NO LOADED BUMPERS. • Bumper brackets, factory bumper shocks or fabricated shocks (up to 2-in x 2-in.) may be used. Either type may not extend further than 5-in. past stock core support mount (location) or longer than 10-in. total length, measured from the back of the bumper. Anything past must be cut off. If bumper shock is inside of frame a 1-in. hole must be put in side of frame to see the end of shock. If front frame is shortened, the bumper shock may not extend past the factory core support mount. • A single piece of 3”x3”x¼” angle iron may be welded from the left front frame rail to the right front frame rail (in front of a-arms) on all front coil sprung trucks only. Front leaf sprung trucks may use a chain from rail to rail. • Factory leaf spring packs must be used on front and rear. • ANY/ALL trailer hitches must be removed completely. ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN: • Any engine may be used. Engine swapping is permitted GM to Ford, Ford to Chry. Etc. • Full engine cradles, transmission protectors and slider shafts are permitted. Engine cradles may be attached to K-member only. No chains permitted to frame. • Transmission cross-member may be no larger than 3-in. in size. Must run straight across frame. May be attached to frame with a piece of angle or plate, no longer than 6-in. in length. • Any rearend may be used. Rearend bracing is permitted, may not strengthen frame or body in any way. • Transmission cooler is permitted. Cooler & lines must be covered for driver protection. FIX-IT-PLATES: • Fix-it-plates will be allowed on pre-ran vehicles only. Must have visible and significant damage. (A small dimple or bubble does NOT warrant a fix-it-plate. This is for significant damage only). • May have (2) fix-it-plates per side. Only (1) fix it plate may be positioned in front of the a-arms on each frame rail. Plates to be no larger than 4”x4”x1/4”. • Each fix it plate will be measured to verify size requirements. Any plate in excess of 4x4-in. will be trimmed to size.

1. Must be 100% stock !! No cross breeding entire drive must be same make as car ( chevy to chevy ford to ford and so on) Must appear to be factory engine to car with stock manifold. Exhaust must be cut off near firewall. 2. Engine must be mounted with stock mounts in stock position. No welding of mounts bolted only. No homemade cross members, cross members must be stock and bolted in not welded 3. Doors must be chained or wired. No more than 6 places. Drivers door may be welded with 3" wide 1/4" thick max strapping! 4. Trunks must be chained or wired. No more than 4 places. TRUNKS MUST BEOPEN DURING INSPECTION! Car must have deck lid and or tailgate No welding or adding metal. Trunk lid must be in stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre bending, smashing, folding or anything else you can think of. No welding washers for holes. 5. Hoods may be wired or chained in 4 spots. X chain or 2 strands per hole. It must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes. Must be 12" hole in hood in case of fire. Remove hood latch!!! Hood must be open for inspection. 6. .Must use D.O.T. tires , no tractor, implement, or foam filled tires, valve stem protectors ok 7. You must relocate the fuel tank to rear floor of car, you must use a fuel cell or boat tank no stock fuel tanks permitted inside of car. Must be securely fastened down with a fire resistant cover! 8. Windshield may be left in car 9. The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds, windows , headlights, taillights, all chrome and mirrors. Interior must be swept clean of debris and glass. 10. Stock type springs and shocks. No solid suspension. No spring risers, wire, chains or any weld on rear ends or rear spring pockets. Cars must bounce & cars must be STOCK!!!!! 11. You may weld rearend for posi 12 Paint front doors in contrasting paint. Example if the car is black paint doors white 13. Battery must be moved inside of car, around passenger floor area. Must be securely fastened down with a fire resistant cover! 14. YOU MAY USE AN 80 & NEWER BUMPER ON CAR THEY MUST BOLT ON IN FACTORY LOCATION AND MANNER NO WELDING 15. You may remove whatever you want on car, just don't add nothing!!!!! 16. Must have working brakes!!! 17. 4 point cage allowed. 4x4 max tubing. Dash bar must be 6" from firewall. Rear bar must not be any further back than where the kickpanel meets floor. Cage to be at least 6" off floor. Roll over bar OK but must be straite up off of rear bar. This is for safety! Don't overdue it!! 18. Floor shifter OK! Everything else stock. 19. Read all rules carefully and follow them! It will be a cheap easy build. Any questions call! There will be no stretching or bending of any rules or you will lose you entry fee and not run!

Had some phone calls about who gets paid. No matter the outcome. Everyone on the team gets a cut of the money!! If it comes down to just say 2 cars of the same team in A main. We stop the derby there!
