I'm in store for a motor built for demolition derby, Ive been looking at Baldwin and had a few talks with them but my wallet just isn't allowing it at this time, are there a few others who have a good reputation and customer service I can check out? C&M is next on my list to call.

I'd look for someone else. C&M has a bad reputation with a lot of people. I'm not saying their stuff is junk but have heard alot of horror stories with some of their builds.
I tried to sell one of their full roller motors with aftermarket heads that was basically new, I couldn't even sell it due to the fact they built it.
I ended up taking it to another well known derby builder and had him tear it down and rebuild it. looking back it was all built legit, but you never know what someone has done for sure untill you get inside it.
i would go with a more reputable shop if it we're me. if you don't want to spend money on a new one Wait untill the end of season. usually some good deals over the winter

Usually these threads turn into a pissing match. I would go down to the selling section, read on all the engine builders and reviews (they are all there, no need to re say things in a separate thread) and draw your conclusions from that.

Link nazi STROMI 121 where are the links to the old threads?? Once they turn into a pissing match they usually tend to disappear. This is either done by a moderator, an administrator, or sometimes even by proboards.

I run mostly stock motors with the exception of my old circle track SBC that isn't anything special. If I had money, Id buy a Gropp. However just like every comment on this thread, its just an opinion.

I tried searching using every word I could think of related to this topic and never found one, go ahead and delete this then.
Not trying to start a debate.

Too many people are stuck on the whole I like the way this engine sounds or I like the rpms that thing pulls Sound and rpms don't win derby's
You can't go wrong with the pioneer which is gropp 2nd would be coyler his attention to detail is like no other!!! But my homebuilt stuff will work for now
Sent from my SCH-I545 using proboards
