mines a 07 2.3L I bury the needle on it constantly cause I have a few of these cars if I blow a part on it ill just rip a part of my derby cars, 30MPG with me running the snot out of it. and its got well over 320,000KM
here in Canada the rockers rust out on them fast (if not taken care of) so there is dozens of them for sale,
Same around here, but the front and rear subframes rot out too. Failed many for inspection because the rack was ready to rip out or the control arms were ready to fall off. I was actually going to pick one up down the street, but when I looked at it the rear section of the front subframe was attached to nothing. Worse one I've ever seen. I love the zetec's, those thing's just scream. The 2.3/2.0 duratec is great too. Do the 2.3's have the plastic intake on the front like the newer 2.0's do? I believe so but I forget. I don't care much for the old 2.0 SplitPort, never been a fan of those. oh geez, I cant say ive seen one that bad just yet, I find the racks leak on these cars relatively quickly, easy enough to changed just a long process. the ztecs can take an extreme amount of heat, I used one in a derby dry blocked it, no fan, it screamed and screamed, and then after the next derby fired right up ran like a charm.
yes the 2.3 do have the plastic intake on the top.

I hated my wagon.the ass was hard....broke tie rod first run.second run got three track shots with back and broke a motor mount and CV.it was a nightmare.would have to take some serious building to run one again.not worth the trouble.

The one i built was bonestock and i couldn't run it so i can really say how it felt but the only thing that broke was the shifter on my car, radiator pushed in and the frames kicked over like crazy. I bent the driver side one back before taking the picture. I think it was a pretty good car but this was only my first one, i guess more wagons will tell.

Mounted this bumper on the Focus wagon on the weekend. Could use some more welding but if I get time I will if not then too bad.

Have a 2005 Ford Focus. I spliced all door latch sensors for doors, hood, and trunk yet the door ajar alarm still sounds. All grounds are still mounted to car. Does anyone know fuse location for this sensor or a way to remove the alarm altogether? I read the fuse panel diagrams but can not determine which one controls the alarm and sensors. If not I will just start pulling fuses. Thanks

If this is anything like the 08 Mercury sable I'm running the dinging is coming from the instrument cluster and I know my car will not even crank over without the instrument cluster being plugged in.

I think the chime/alarm can be unplugged. Follow the sound and unplug the noise maker.

Hello all,
I have a 2005 Ford Focus with the 2.0 engine in it. I ran the car last year already without any problems, but this year I'm trying to put it back together.
My currently situation is that my car cranks, but will not start. I hear the pump run when I turn the key and when I crank. I can also see a spark when I take the plug out of the engine, closest to the drivers side. However, the engine cranks until my starter becomes too hot and won't crank any longer.
I have gave the car fresh gas, new battery, and starter.
I've checked the cam and crank senor and receive about 469 ohms on each of them. What I don't know is if their signal is reaching back to the computer.
What other forms of troubleshooting can be suggested for this car?
Thank you in advance
