well first off it was a fast build a very fast build. the bumper on it was pre run and it was hard lining it up to the frame rail the welds broke (it was not plated top or bottom or else the bumper would have had some reinforcing my error) and some body came flying in from the side and crushed the transmission. it was a pavement track so very fast and hard hard hits. rad was broken. it was easier for me to strip it take all the good parts off it and buy another one and learn from my mistakes aka. don't do fast builds, plate the frame/bumper, don't do pavment tracks when its you and 2 friends against 6 buddies your going to lose.

Yes they do. I dont remember where the temp sensor is located but I seem to remember it being on tbe front of the motor. I know on the double overhead cam ZTEC, the engine temperature coolant sensor is on the back of the head under the alternator. I haven't hot wired mine yet most people said the alternator has to be removed to get to it but I think if you take the passenger side wheel off you should be able to get it from underneath. Ok hooked up the 330 ohm resistor and its apparently too much resistance. The temp gauge on the dash is tached out on hot, and the car is running in limp mode. I'm going to try a couple different resistors since they are so cheap I'll probably buy a 180, 220, and a 280 and report back.

You check the resistance of the temperature sensor at normal operating temperature (warm but not overheating)and then match the resistors to that. There is no guessing involved.

Well I kind of put the cart before the horse on this one, my wires on the sensor side are cut off pretty short, ill do the guess and check method for this one lol.

Well if you figure it out post ot on here. I would think that you don't want it to read too cold either. It will be in choke/warmup mode. But I'm no expert on this subject by any means.

i'm having trouble with my focus. What kind of fuel pump do you use in your focus ? i put a high pressure one in mine and seems to be building up WAY to much pressure and floods the engine (i think) cause it to catch on fire today. so not sure if its my fuel pump being to high in psi of if i messed up something on the return system of the regulator. HELP PLEASE car has to be done by this Friday lmao i'm screwed

I ran the car for a while with the wires cut and it doesn't run good at all. you can tell its just dumping the fuel and loading up. ill be heading to radio shack after work and will let yins know which ohm resistance works the best. I also plan on running the car without the alternator since it locked up on me so im going to do a test run after I get it running right. I have a fresh battery that I will hook up and as long as the car run for atleast a half hour to 45 minutes, I think that it should give me enough time to get the car off the trailer, run through tech line, and run the actual derby, ect.
