im not c4 but to answer ur questions....
1.fuel tank....maybe,but don't risk anything fuel related. 2.washers....again,maybe,but I would have went bigger.biggest u can with rules. 3.trailing arm....i wouldn't worry about it.but if rules allow,do what you can.at least replace stock bolts with grade eight. 4.front....all thread on the front end wont keep ur frame from going crazy.but making everything one solid piece(hood,inner/outer fenders, and core support)by using all thread and 9 wire can delay it. 5.egr's can be plated rather easily.left open will cause a major air leak, not good.cardboard, tin and tin snips can make a cheap plate. 6.power steering isn't needed in compacts.....ever.its pressurized, can rupture, and can catch fire.
these mazdas are new to this site.dont know if there was anything on the old site....so tips are few here, try and look at other car pages, and take what you can.or learn, share, and hope this thread reaches w body status.then you will be a pioneer.

I decided I would try folding the door tops down. I did it half ass and just squeezed it toghether than beat one side down just to where it started to be flat and then bead the other side down on top of it. Not as extreme as most do but I thought itd add some rididety to the doors. It seemed to make them a lot stiffer and hopefully safer. I also ran some 9 wire from the bumper to the front of the hood and pulled it down quite a bit hopefully it helps to hold the hood down and act as a radiator protector. I also beat the fenders over the hood on the sides and beat the front tip of the fender over and bolted it to the hood.

First time for me running a newer car with fuel injection. Just wanna make sure I do this right.

And what other ideas did you have with the trunk area Haven't ran it yet derby is carlinville il macoupin county fair june 20. To answer your question on truck I just should have moved the cut I made back further just in front of where the trunk was folded.
