Yes I think they follow smash it rules in the welded v8 class- I'm. Sure they'll have some rules / guidelines posted before long

They are cars built like smash it rules. It was a good derby last year. Looking forward to it again.

Crash -N- Bash Demolition Rules 2015
Stock mower rules
1. Driver must have D.O.T. helmet. Must have some sort of eye protection on. 2. The garden or lawn mower must have a factory frame, no homemade frames. Max 19 h.p. engine belt driven air cooled. 3. Must be a front engine mower no rear engines allowed. All mowers must have factory stock engines 4. Reinforcing the frame is permitted. Transaxles must be factory, reinforcing or spider gears is allowed reinforcing around the engine is allowed but can't be outside of the hood. 5. Hoods must remain factory, hoods can be screwed down or welded, if hood is fiberglass, you can make a hood from sheet metal but it is not allowed to be any bigger than the fiber glass hood was. 6. Brakes must be in operation when pulling in for the heat race, must also have forward and reverse. 7. Gas tank must be fastened with the cap on, if it comes loose or gas leaks you will be disqualified. 8. Some sort of leg guard is mandatory before entering arena, must go from rear fender to front foot rest or frame. 9. A rear bumper is allowed but can't extend more than four inches out from rear of mower not the tires. The bumper must be no bigger than 3 inches wide and can not extend past the tire. Rear bumper must be at least 6 inches from the ground. 10. Pulleys can be changed to increase speed. Drive train modifications are allowed but must stay belt driven wheels must be of lawnmower type, no dual wheels, tractor tread and cut tires are allowed tires must be lawn mower type and stock size. 11. Mower decks must be removed before entrance to pit area, plus all headlights and any other plastics must be removed. 12. Battery can be used to start the mower, but then must be taken out before entering arena. If mower is pull start you will not be allowed to use it once you enter arena. Absolutely no batteries for any reason can remain in mower. If your mower requires a battery you cannot run it. Maximum ½ gallon of fuel. 13. The front of the frame under grill may be strengthened for hitting but must be a smooth finish. Front bumper cannot cover front tires maximum 6 inches tall, must be 6 inches off the ground, 2 inches from front frame of mower, bumper must be flat no points or sharp edges. No bracing at anytime may cover front tires including leg guards. 14. If a driver rolls over he or she is disqualified, if any part of your body touches the ground you will be disqualified also. 15. In the event of a roll over the event will be stopped until the officials get the mower back up right. 16. Number must be somewhere on each side of the mower, number may be on helmet also. 17. No wheel weights on anytime. No heavy modifications other than what is stated in these rules will be permitted mower must resemble a factory mower. 18. If mower doesn't pass inspection or participant refuses to fix something, there will be no refunds. 19. Officials have final say, we reserve the right to check mower after the derby. 20. Pulley on the engine can be no bigger than 4” and the pulley on the rearend can be no smaller than 3”
Outlaw Mowers
21. You may run front and rear bumpers. 22. Must have leg protectors. 23. No protecting tires. They must be open. 24. Please shorten exhaust pipes for safety reasons. 25. You must remain on the mower until the heat stops. 26. You must wear helmet. 27. Everything else is fair game. 28. Be safe.
Compact Stock
29. There will be no welding on cars except driver’s side door, rear end gears, motor mounts. 30. You may run inside door bars. One down each side, one in front above the steering column, one behind the seat within 6 inches of the seat. 31. You may run gas tank protector. Must be no wider than 24”, must not go beyond rear hump. 32. No tractor tires allowed. Must be D.O.T. tires only. 33. All cars must have driver’s seat belt. 34. Must have stock suspension. NO EXCEPTIONS! 35. Hood and trunk may be wired in six places. It must be wired to body ONLY. 36. Doors may be wired or bolted shut. 37. Must wear D.O.T. approved helmet. 38. No wedging back of car. 39. All cars maybe drilled in frame rails. Two holes, front and back. 40. Maximum wheelbase is 109” but must be a unibody car ONLY! 41. Two strands of wire per hole, 12 gauge wire only. 42. You may run header pipe! Otherwise, cut exhaust off at the bottom end of the down pipe. 43. Number of car must be where we can read it. 44. No Crown Vic or Full size bumpers! NO EXCEPTIONS! 45. Bumpers may be welded top and bottom 1" and have a 6" chain. 46. $800 to win guaranteed only with a 10 car minimum.
Compact Welded
47. You may short nose, 5 inches max. 48. You may plate rear humps on the cars. Maximum 22” only. 49. You may run any type tire. 50. You may run two kickers down to the frame on your bar behind the seat. 51. Gas tank protectors must be no wider than 24”, no further back than inside rear hump. 11” hump plates on the leaf springs. 52. Bumper can be reinforced on the inside. 53. You may run all thread for shocks, maximum height 22” front and rear to bottom of the bumper. You may weld “A” frames on front. 54. Tires may be doubled or loaded. 55. Coil cars can be altered to leaf. 56. You may thread for shocks 1” maximum. 57. You may run an angle iron on top or radiator support. 58. Car height must be 22” maximum, 16” minimum. 59. You may plate sway bar on the outside four inches maximum! 60. You may run kicker to front bar to behind strut tower on the frame. 61. You may run a car with a sunroof. Make sure you run a support (max. 2 inch square) in the middle or driver’s side for strength above your head in the sun roof hole. 62. If pre-ran car, you may plate kinked places up to 6” 63. Wheel base 107” maximum unibody car only! 64. You may weld two kickers down to center hump behind seat on the rear bar. 65. Number of car must be where we can read it. 66. No homemade bumpers. 67. $1000 to win guaranteed only with a 10 car minimum.
Stock V8:

Welded V-8 Cars:
84. You may run two kickers in the front radiator support to the frame. Must not extend any further than 16 inches from the radiator support. 85. You may run any type of tire. 86. You may weld or run thread to hold the suspension on front, just all thread on rear for car height 1” maximum. The A frame must be bolted in stock position but may be welded to the frame. 87. You may run leaf springs on coils on rear, no more than 9 leafs per side. 88. You can hump plate frame rails up to 22”, 11 inches from the center of wheel well each way or 11 inches on leaf car. 89. You may run kickers inside the car from the frame on floor to back seat bar. 90. Gas tank protectors must be no wider than 24”, no further back than inside of the rear hump. 91. You may run transmission coolers inside of the car but must be fastened shut. 92. If pre-ran car, you may plate front where kinked if it has been bent up to 6 inches. 93. You may cap where coil springs sets no wider than 8” on lower A frame. 94. No loading or plating the rest of the frame anywhere! We will be checking. 95. No doubling panels. All doors must have open tops. 96. Must have at least a 8"x8" hole in trunk lid. Must be able to see trunk floor. 97. If car is wedged, it must have 6” between floor and trunk lid. 98. If station wagons are entered, back door must have open top to see in. 99. Door bar may have corner gussets! 100. Number of car must be where we can read it. 101. Maximum height 24” to bottom of bumper. 102. No Homemade bumpers. 103. $1000 to win guaranteed only with a 10 car minimum.
