So the $5k compact payout on page 1 is falsely advertised? It is now a $2500 payout?
So next month it'll drop again?

I do not know if you read this apparently not they had to change the format to please everyone so $2500 is guaranteed the $5000 was not guaranteed unless certain number of cars show. I do not know why it has to always be about the money I have ran shows in my area that payed $300 to win. When I drive out on the track I do not expect to win anything except the money when I haul the car to the crusher Monday morning lol.

What ever happened to just running a derby for the fun you had doing it? And the bragging rights of winning, I shure haven't got rich off of winning a few big derbys I spent all the winnings on the next derby show (cars, parts, big motors and new inventions that make it last longer) if it were always about the money most of us would be in the red. Let's take a chance and give the track a chance !!

How many times have you paid these crazy prices for a clean car and traveled 8, 10, 12 hours or more to go to a show? The problem was they were advertising $20,000 to win. Last anyone knew they had 9 cars pre entered so they were only guaranteed $1800 to win. Some people have more than that just buying a car, let alone travel time and expenses. Sure for the local guy, no big deal but they won't get anyone to travel for that. And I still say going from one local crew inspecting to another is a mistake. A lot of people will wait to see how the first show goes before running there again.

Ok so no wheel base limit... what's the big deal of NOT being able to weld front passenger door? And the guy I'm emailing needs to go back n reread the rules... if it says u have to run what the car came out factory with then that wat u need to stand by

What about preran? I put 2 4x6 plates on the front humps do to being bent up 76 impala. Bone stock besides that. Can I just cut them off? Or no? Also have a 94 Vic says no welding so I'm guessing no cold bending/ tilt?
Thanks sorry if dumb question. Bare with me!

So, a few questions on your compact class:
1. I see i am allowed any bumper, as long as its not loaded. What about bumper shocks? Am i allowed to weld the bumper shocks to the frame as well? Any Stock automotive shocks only?
2. Can i replace stock Cradle bolts with same size bolts?
3. Rear bumper rules the same as front?
4. only 4 spots of #9 wire for both the hood and trunk? or 4 each? Can i #9 wire the bumper to the body or will it count as part of the 4 i am allowed?
5. any tire allowed? as long as its not a solid tire and no larger than a 16/700 series?
6. can i add a rollover bar as long as it does not connect to the floor? or possibly bolted to the floor directly behind the drivers seat?
7. Any fwd with a v6. . . mini van included in that?
8. halo style tank protector allowed? assuming it is at least 12" from the sides and rear speaker deck?
9. Rust repair? or plates on preran cars?
Thanks
EDIT:
10. Is it planned to run heats in compacts? is it typical that there are enough cars at this show for heats?

You have to allow engine swaps, cars don't come along in running shape like they do for you.

You can run a pre-ran, you would have to cut the plates off and grind all the weld off. And on the Ford, you are correct, no tilting of any kind, cold or hot Not dumb questions at all

No 3. Yes 4. 4 spots on each, we will allow 4 spots of 9 wire from bumper to radiator support, not to the hood, same for the rear, 4 spots, not to the trunk 5. Pretty much any tire allowed, as long as it's not crazy. 6. Rollover bar is allowed, welded to the seat bar only. 7. NO mini vans 8. Yes 9. Only in floor pans, and in safety areas only (feet, gas tank, battery) 10. Most likely 1 and done, the track owners call, once we see the amount of entries

A few more just the clear things up. 1. Assuming the frame rails dont extend past the core support: is the bumper shock allowed to be bolted on at its end? and welded on at the front of the core support/frame. 2. I'll be fine with my v-tread tires and/or my skid steers? 3. if rear bumper rules are the same as front: meaning i can only weld the bumper to the very end of the frame? or only how far?
