guys building street rods want them....i dont remember why but they had a reason
can sell them for a couple bucks more than core price to them...or trade em straight up for a th400

i've used a few... got one in an 89 caprice that ran 6 demos behind the factory engine... 3rd run was a win... but it finally broke...

i have ran a bunch of them, never had a issue. mind you they were behind stock motors and i am always easy on my transmission making sure I am stopped before shifting. i run fresh tractor transmission hydraulic fluid in them each run. I think they are fine to run on a stockish build. well maybe not MM 20g to win stock lol

I cut the wire to pull it out and I am not sure if I need to buy a after market one or what? I am not an expert on anything so excuse my lack of terminology
