whats wedging the trunk?and is it different then dishing or canoeing? i could be wrong but my understanding is you beat the end of the trunk down and quarters in so that if you look at the trunk profile it comes to a point at the bumper and the bumper is the tip of the point. kinda like making a ramp.

This is a rail road bumper 73 Buick Electra Named for being skinny as a piece of rail road iron. It's a decent stock show bumper. but they're so skinny, and stick out so far that they'll turn up easy, Possibly break off the shock mounts.

thats wrong, 73 oldsmobile has the railroad bumper, 73 buick just has crappy chrome shell. 74-5 olds bumper is also similar to a railroad with extra chrome pieces.

Oops my apologies, I stand corrected. The bumper I'm referring to, I bought from a guy that told me it was off of a 73 Buick. It's the bumper on the car in my profile pic. I ran it on multiple box Fords. Didn't mean to lead any one astray. Shouldn't repeat what I am told without knowing the facts I guess. Mine was tough as He11 so it couldn't be the crappy chrome one you are speaking of.

Railroad bumpers are very strong, just kinda small. I bet two of them welded together would be badass.

A guy at the bash last year or the year before, had two caddy bumpers welded together.
