I agree, we are running old iron at sturgis with mostly smash it rules. Be nice to have somewhere else to take them.

I would imagine it would be like the smash it county fair rules (any year car minus imperials).

On a side note it would be awesome to watch Ed drive a smash it built imperial with that wild alcohol engine!

we-crash.proboards.com/thread/37571/21-ashland-county-fair-ohioOk hate to throw a wrench in this one too but here goes. Us cats from nc that come run the bash usually leave with some car left as we also do from pville. The problem we have is there is no place to run them down here. 0 shows. It's becoming something on everyone's mind including mine. I have 2 cars from pville that blew trans cases. Other than that they are good. 2k$ caddies and I already junked one which broke my heart to do but I needed parts. You will start to see nc participation at the bash suffer because of this. Is it a big deal? Not really but it's happening and jojo takes his to those bull shoot nationwide shows and other scrap them. Would you consider letting the tbtc cars in the team thing? Close builds I believe and even with the team thing going on car strength me less. More to the team strategy and aggressiveness. I'll throw a kicker to the dp and I believe they can run together. Most others would say no to running their tbtc cars but me jojo and probably a few more might just come up to get a little lunch money back. Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards You can tank an already bad ass TBTC ride with very little effort. Here is a link for a old set of smash it rules.

Anyone give thought to butler..the facilities are big enough(more than enough room on grounds, plus buildings for impound? Stands hold 2800 with crappy bleachers in pits holding about 100..but there is plenty of room for pop up bleachers) with crap loads of hotels within half an hour and the track would be the perfect size. The only thing wrong with the place is the promoter/Fair board... And this ain't the fair...its smash it. Plus, maybe get your feet in the door for later?

Jokers correct about tbtc cars being at a disadvantage to The smash it class fords but if your lookin to have some fun to finish off some cars I'd say it'd still be worth adding some kickers and fix it plates and a few other little things and the tbtc cars can definatly be competitive with the fords. I'd rather add a bunch of shit than cut a bunch off.

im usually underbuilt anyways I like the way that Desoto held up; at least for a little while....It put a hurtin on a roundy before it met its doom. I've been to Mayhem and if I ever go back I'll bring a good book and sell race fuel to the drivers. For a good time go to the Bash for Cash!
