That offer will stand until about April lol If I wasn't saving to buy a house next spring I'd do it but if I did my girlfriend would probably kill me. She some how has figured out how much I spend on this sport.

Probably not where i should be posting this and i apologize but i have to ask. What is it like for you guys out west to find cars? Here in VT cars are getting harder and harder to find. And when you do find one they want $500 for it and even then its probably all rotted out. It wouldn't be so bad if you could get a few derbies out of a car but our derbies are stock only cars no welding, no bumper change, has to be factory motor and trans, etc. So 90% of cars are one and done, then scrap! Before iron price initially spiked in the spring of '04, I did not have enough time or gas money to keep up with the flow of free cars. In those 10 years, derby guys out here have suffered tremendously, but not nearly as much as y'all. It's getting really tough to find a clean Ford or AMC for under $400. Less desirable stuff can be had all day long. Firstly, I am west of the rust belt, so for the most part, we can assume that a car newer than the 70's is gonna be pretty clean. Secondly, I am in the middle of nowhere, 200 miles from really good iron prices. The day of the freebie is not completely gone, but they are few & far between. If I had the means to give 200 a piece, I could still pick up cars all day long. Some of the cars in my post on page one were acquired through trade, but the most expensive one there is the 94 Regal. It is 100% clean and needed new intake gaskets. I offered to take it in lieu of $200 that I was owed. Even the full size and mini trucks: I gave 100 for the Pontiac The Y framer, I traded for a pickup that I gave $50 a ton for The Datsun was $150 The S10 was a freebie (ran/drove). T-bird was 150 Camaro was 150 Celebrity was 100 (ran/drove) RX7 was 50 Celica was 50 Dynasty (ran/drove)....I have to give him another compact when/if he is ready to build one. Gremlin...I got it (mostly stripped) for letting its owner partially strip a Pacer for me.

Yea it's bad around here,if your lucky the oldest car around will probably be 92-94 ish anything older is like finding gold. 70s and 80s cars are at least a 3-4 hour drive away. I just wish it wasn't a dying sport.(around here anyway)

I almost hate you hahaha I just missed out on a running and driving mini with new tires new brakes and title in hand. Girl I work with called the scrap yard to pick it up for 200 bucks because "it was easy". Meanwhile little bro needs a derby car and driver... I wanted to strangle her

I made a mistake .... I was thinking of a different Camaro. That one cost me $75 and a good used 700r4.

Got 2 neons of 2015 #10 is mine and #11 is dads (those are before this years race) This is after 2014 race (only ran one show because the other one got shut down and we didn't get cars fixed for any more of them) I dont have any pics of the #11 car after the race (got deleted off my phone but I'm going out there soon so I'm gonna snap some and get em on here asap) I also got this for the #10 car for next season
And since you guys were talking about prices in your area... Got the #10 in 2013 for $300. Literally drove it home from where i bought it Got the #11 in 2014 for $350 (partially stripped). Didn't have 2nd gear or reverse (5 speed) so we couldn't drive it home. Bought an $18 transmission bushing set from the auto parts store and she was fixed

Ha. Do you know how many 1st places I have? NONE! Ive watched you run, I dont feel like dying when i get hit by your tanks that you build. I might run sometime soon if I find a good w body for cheap. I also need to buy a welder so i can actually build something tough instead of chaining everything like on our neons
