My car is an 83 Mercury marquis im Trying to figure out what kind of rear end I have,, I got some numbers off the tag and some of them are missing, here's what I was able to make out
3 B 1 I 3 75 V912A
Does anyone know what those codes mean? And is it a rear I can easily weld the spider gears?

Thanks for the input c4 and tater,,, I want to shorten it but I'm afraid im going to mess it up,, never built anything uni body,, this is all a little bit new,, that's what I thought too but just read @hellbent how on it and it's pretty easy, only part that is any trouble is sheet metal is pretty thin so turn your welder heat down, other that easy. Have to admit I'm amAzed how tough a shortened fox is.
