What's everyone run their oxygen/propane settings on their torche regulators? I've tried numerous different settings but can't seem to fine the one I'm happy with. Just asking for little input! Thanks

I run my oxy/ propane set up with a #1 tip 45 oxy/ 15 propane. Building derby cars I see no point of using more than a #1 tip. A waste IMO
The quality of torch makes a big difference on performance too

I don't use propane, but with a #1 tip, for most derby applications, I like the oxygen around 25 & the acetylene around 8-10.
As mentioned above, bigger than a #1 isn't really necessary for derby. Smaller than a #1 is a waste of tool box space in any application.

Why not propane. Acetylene is not worth the extra money to me to use. A good quality torch and a good #1 tip

I think C4 meant "(I) Don't use propane."

^^^^Yep. Sorry, in hindsight, I was not very specific there.
There we go. Fixed that.

Propane is cheap but seems to use more oxygen. 5-10 on the fuel and 25 and up on the oxygen depending how thick the metal I'm cutting

All depends on the gas you use, length of hose, size of tip. Go to your local welding supply's store and ask for a red victor tip card (or possibly print one off the internet) keep it in your box. That should get you in the ball park of where you should set the regs.
