Wouldn't it be just as easy to weld centers in a 14.5 rim ? Sounds like a good way to blow yourself up to me. When we tubed and mounted them it fit like it they we a regular 14" tire. Zero issues

Like I always say, if you are doubling the tire with a 14, all of the pressure is on the inner tire, leaving zero possibility of the 14.5 exploding off the rim.

Must have missed that, makes a ton more sense now. My bad y'all. Nice pics btw derby man.

Just had some 8-14.5 mobile home tires mounted with tubes on 14" rims zero issues. Other than no buisness will do it unless you know someone. I've ran a few 7-14.5 w/tubes for steer tires with no issues. the bitch was putting a 14.5 in a mud/snow tire

found a set of f78-14 studded snow tires laying in scrap pile yesterday look like brand new except some sidewall cracks wondering if anyone has tryed these on front of 92 lumina or if they would be to big. they would be doubled and tubed also. thanks I would not use dry rotted bias tires. The sidewall becomes brittle and very easy to rip. Not to mention they are already weaker than most modern radial tires.

Im going to try to get a set of Geo Metro rims with full centers to work for next year. It that dont work then I have a set of mower rims that I can weld full centers into. Ether way Ill have to lose the rear brakes. I had geo rims but went with the car when junked. Definitely get welded centers. There wasnt much to those rims. Bolt pattern was 4x100 same as corrolla and honda. Fyi geo rims do not fit on honda without pulling brakes. Ibwas looking into geo rims with dirtbike tires for the geo I ran but didnt find anything in time. Not only will they not clear the brakes but Geo metros did not use the 4x100 bolt pattern. They use 4x114.3 like some Honda Accords. Not civics. 114.3 is somewhat of an odd bolt pattern unless you know where to look. And then there's the whole stud diameter problem...

I had accord, corolla, and geo rims all on same cars. I may be wrong but when I looked it up before it matched. Will look again

I had a set of bias plies that I ran on my ex's metro for winter and then on an integra, civic, and eventually back on my buddy's beater metro for a winter. Those are all 4x100 cars. If I remember right the early to mid 90s were 4x100 and late 80s/ early 90s were 4x114.
