Should be similar to a 205 so I don't see why they wouldn't work.

Definitely get welded centers. There wasnt much to those rims. Bolt pattern was 4x100 same as corrolla and honda. Fyi geo rims do not fit on honda without pulling brakes. Ibwas looking into geo rims with dirtbike tires for the geo I ran but didnt find anything in time.

For the people that run dirt bike tires, are you mounting them on standard 14" rims or on spare tire (thinner) rims? Wasn't sure if they need a certain rim to mount on. i ran dirt bike tires on an escort. 14" dirt bike tire on a compact spare rim with a car tube. worked great. only thing i dodnt like is that the dirt bike tire is a soft rubber, so if i do this again i will either double them with the doughnut tire on the inside or sidewall them.

For guys who are doubling these 7-14.5/8-14.5 mobile home tires. What are you all using for the center tire? I got told by 3 different tire shops they wouldn't risk just tubing them and putting on a 14" rim. It'd slide off and could kill you when aired up according to them. I got some ST205/75D14 that hold air, some 185's that are flat and a random DR78-14 also flat. The 205 look the same size or might be to tall. Thanks

They are correct NEVER mount any .5 tire on any .00 rim, it will kill you ! If you got 14.5 rims weld in a center.

With just a tube, it could slip over the bead & cause problems. Doubled is a pretty safe bet.

Either doubling or just tubing on a 14" rim. You will be fine with the 14" rim for a derby car. I have multiple sets of 7, 7.5, and 8-14.5 doubled and tube on 14" rims. Never had a single problem.

And everyone I've went to said they won't tube and mount because it's to dangerous. The bead would slide off the rim

If you have a couple of medium size pry bars with dull edges, a pair of needle nose vice grips, a valve core tool, air, tubes and appropriate stuffer tires, you have all you need.
Even if the bead does pop over the rim, all of the pressure is on the inner tire.
Edit...........I have seen them doubled on 15" rims too, with the beads cut off.

Before I had a tire machine I had tire shops tell me I was gonna kill myself doubling tires. Talked them in to mounting them if I took them home to air them up.
