Anyone ran trailer race with a boat? Looking for opinions on do you want to keep the boat on the trailer the whole race or is it better to try and have it come off the trailer early on? Was thinking about bolting it down to the bunks on the trailer. Good idea or no?

I ran one last year with boat ratchet strapped to trailer. Seems like extra weight, may as well try to ditch the boat early id say as long as it doesnt flip the trailer.

I have only ran twice. First time I just took a boat, punched holes in the side and ran a chain through it. Second time was boat on the trailer, and no I didnt use anything but the hitch. seemed to hold just fine though

Unless you have to keep something on your trailer let it fly off. less weight more speed and the fans love it when someone nails the boat.

Some tracks require trailer cargo to be secured, must be able to race without falling off and should only fall off when caused to by another vehicle.
