i know they have but is cold pitching the only thing or can we cut and reweld the clip for the pitch?

If allowing smash it cars does that mean 8 lugs are allowed!! No different then M9

CRAIG DID INFORM ME THAT WE CAN WELD THE DOWN LEGS TO TOP OF FRAME !! PLUS ANOTHER RULE CHANGE BUT I FORGOT WHAT IT WAS .

Morgan County Demolition Derby Rules 2014
Friday August 1st and Saturday August 2nd at 7:00 pm (both nights)
The show will have full size, mini and mid-size cars. Same rules apply for all classes. Mini cars are 99 inches and shorter. Mid-size cars are 100-108 inches. No V8’s allowed in mini or midsize cars. Inspection starts at 3:00 pm, must be inspected 1 hour prior to race. Cars will register and pay entry fee after passing inspection. There will be no refund given due to disqualification during the event. Entry fee is $25 per car.
1. Any passenger car or station wagon allowed (minimum of 110 inch wheel base). No limos, convertibles, hearses, 4-wheel drives or imperials.
2. The motor and body do not have to be the same make; however if changed, the number 1 spark plug must be in front of the ball joint.
3. The car number must appear on both front doors in 24 inch letters and on the roof.
4. The radiators and fans must remain in stock location. No radiator supports from one frame rail to the other allowed. Tranny coolers are allowed.
5. Batteries must be moved to the front passenger floorboard and must be securely fastened and covered.
6. The original gas tank must be removed and an approved gas tank must be placed in the back seat area properly secured and covered; maximum of six gallons of gas. Gas tank protectors are allowed, no more than 24 inches wide may touch but not be attached to rear dash.
7. The doors may be welded, wired or chained shut. If you are using wire or chain you must have at least two places per door and no more than four places per door. A driver’s door plate is optional; however if a driver’s door plate is used it must be no more than four inches passed the door ends.
8. The hood must be open for inspection. A maximum of six tie downs allowed with; number nine wire or bolts. The hood must have a hole in it for fire protection.
9. The trunk may have a maximum of six tie downs (number 9 wire or chain) or may be welded shut. You must have a 12 inch hole in the trunk floor or trunk lid.
10. You must have a bar, chain or number 9 wire from fire wall to the roof in the middle of the windshield; you are allowed to have one back bar from the roof to the trunk lid.
11. Any tire will be allowed no taller than 31 inches; no studded snow tires.
12. All cars must have operable brakes and seatbelt.
13. All glass, chrome and carpet must be removed and swept clean before arriving at the fairgrounds.
14. Suspension rule: You are allowed to kick out front coil springs and/or number 9 wire or bolt the top a-arms down or weld with two pieces of 2x4 plate. May have 1 inch all thread rear shocks.
15. A four point cage is allowed; maximum of four inch tubing. You are allowed four down legs to the top of frame only. The dash bar must be six inches away from the fire wall. You may run a kicker up to the distributor protector; however not welded or bolted to the distributor protector. The seat bar must not go six inches behind the front seats. The cage needs to be secured to body only by welding or number 9 wire. Cages may be in the door. You may have a single up and over the roof bar attached to this cage only.
16. The bumpers may be welded on. You may butt weld to the end of the frame or weld the bumper shocks and brackets to the frame and bumper. The bumpers may be loaded on the inside only. If not welded on, the bumpers must be chained on in two spots.
17. Body mounts may be changed using 3 inch washers and must have 1 inch of space between body and frame. You may use a 5/8 bolt. You may use a spacer at the core support with up to one inch all thread through it for the purpose of fan clearance. This all thread may run up through the hood and count as a hood tie down.
18. Rear ends may be changed; coil spring to coil spring only and leaf spring to leaf spring only. No ¾ ton rear ends. Any gear ratio is allowed.
19. Newer Ford cars with aluminum cradles must remain stock. No re-clipping of cars. Watts link cars may use bolt on brackets for rear end replacement.
20. Any car may have up to four plates on the frame. Plates may not be bigger than four inches by six inches by ¼ inch thick. No pinching or creasing of frames allowed!!! You are allowed to weld top frame seams only from fire wall forward. ¼ Wide bead only!!!
21. Hump plates will be allowed up to 22 inches long by 3/8 thick, must be contoured with the frame. 22. There cannot be patching of the sheet metal other than floor pans for gas tank and battery safety. The body panels may be pinched and creased, but not welded. No wedge cars allowed.
23. Engine and distributor protectors are allowed. Distributor protector cannot be attached to the cage. For questions please contact Craig at (317) 691-7324
The minis, mid-size and powder puff derbies will compete, providing more than one car shows up per class. Will pay 100% payback with a 1st place trophy. Full size car event - top 5 places pay money and trophy 1st - $1400.00 2nd - $700.00 3rd - $300.00 4th - $200.00 5th - $100.00

So the word on the street is that Bicknell cars will be allowed to run. Is there any truth to that? Because I have a preran built to similar rules I would like to bring. Thanks

You invited people from bash to bring their cars to your show to run smash it cars and 95% of them have 8 lug, are u gonna let them run them cause hate to see people come all this way and be turned away!!

Invited 80s cars, and those rules and his rules are basically same other then rear end rule!! He's made some awesome changes to make this a better show and should be best in central Indiana!!

thereare some guys with bash cars that said they are coming to run there cars But NO 8 lug rearends and no outlaw cars will be allowed to run,So build the cars to the rules that We have come up with. Thanks craig

So do they get to keep the kickers to the a-arms, the 1" body bolts, the 2 extra pieces of all thread welded to the frame in the trunk, the 4x4x1/4 plate on the core support mount, or the 03 & newer with the steel cradle?
