You know those areas on your frame that you know are going to buckle or blow out... the frame is still going to give eventually but you can slow it down and help control where it will go. Too bad we didn't even get to really play around with this idea before everybodys rules changed to no frame shaping.

Interesting, so on a shocker where the frame S is behind motor if you shape it, it will help it from bending?

I would think you'd want to just square it of though right? You wouldn't want the sides and top shoved in would you?

I don't have the experience to tell you how or what to do, just saying I've seen it done. The shocker I saw was sharp in the S's.

Cheater111, did you run that car yet? If so, do you think it helped?

No I haven't ran it yet. Building it for next year. Ask your self this question does it help the body by creasing it. Does it help to tilt ford frames. If it doesnt help the car why take the extra effort to put that much work into it. Yes off course it will help. Not being rude about it but that's kinda like asking urself if deer meat is good. Common sense goes along ways. 99.9% of people around where I live don't take bodies of frames because they don't want the extra work like that. But yet when I do it and get through inspection they call me a CHEATER. IT'S ALL ABOUT FINDING THE WEAKRR POINTS AND TAKING THE STRESS OFF THAT PART AND PUTING IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. If u fix the areas around boxes it will go aarm forward but once creased at pic showed then problem solved but it will still bend. But shorting frame squaring it and learning bend points will have advantage over the others. Just because the others dont do it is all in laziness or rules. The places I go allow protectors cradles shorting frames cold bent frames etc. But the other guys don't cause they don't believe in that time of work but yet when they get beat the b!tch about it and say cheater.
