U eder want torque or horsepower. No point spinning ur motor 7000 rpm when it's potential has passed at 4500.

No such cam that spins the Rs and makes low speed torque.
Can't have both.

So you have given 0 info on your engine, transmission, gear ratio, car weight, and track size as well as stating you want bottom end torque and a lot of rpms. Well based on your info I would start with one with all the lobes. Should be what your looking for.

No such cam as a comp cams 268h? No, I was responding to the comment about wanting all bottom and all top. Lift doesn't mean much. Lift should be decided by the potential of the heads. Duration should determine where you want the power. More lift seldomly means more power. Duration moves your band up and down the rpm range and what it's cut on determines how much you want to "squish" it into that range. Cams cut on a 108 or a 106 will make a peaky number to impress the dyno squirrels but may lose the drag race. Cams cut on a 112 or 114 will be more broad and driveability higher but you'll for sure loose the dyno competetion. Use cams to locate where you want power, use heads, timing, compression and other small items to make power. Stock heads fall off at 420 440 lift so no real gain there. Now how many degrees does it take to get max lift? That's where you can make some power with cams. Lobe intensity. Look it up. Crower hit on that one in the mid 90s pretty hard. I run summit 1104 cams in all my motors. Cam card isn't always all the information you need. That's just what they give you. Cam doctors tell you all you need. Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards
