Just went to a car crash extraction training and those hybrid cars have some new alloy braces in the doors that are supposedly so hard they can damage our equipment!

So now since they can damage the equipment, does that mean hybrid drivers are living on the edge, cause if they wreck too bad, they may not be saved? Hardasses.. Lol

You would be suprised how much Boron, High Strength Steel and Ultra High Strength Steel are on new cars. The suck to do bodywork on because they weld different and you burn up all your drill bits trying to drill out the spot welds. I absolutely hate the new metals they use nowdays. They do it because the can make the steel stronger, thinner, and lighter by adding certian different compounds to the steel and by regulating the steel quality. It all has to do with our government requiring certian MPG corporate requirements. Cars are definately lighter, safer, and get better MPGs these days but they suck to work on even with all the best training and equipment.

Also one of the reasons why MSRP of vehicles has pretty much doubled in the past ~10 years

Its also why due to EPA, taxes/other government involvment, and labor unions the Koreans (and others) can build a POS Hyundai/Kia (without any EPA/tree hugger regulations), then dump all the hazardous waste in the oceans/rivers/atmosphere, then ship it half way around the world (powered by fossil fuel), and sell it for a cheaper price than anything we can produce here to all the ignorant tree hugging liberals who buy them. America has no pride or intelligence left. We live in the United States of the intitled/ignorant.

If you buy an american car you pay for the entitled / lazy to sit on their asses (labor unions). If you buy foreign you pay for them to polute the environment and destroy our economy. I dont offer a solution, just pointing out the obvious problems that the ignorant ignore. Everyone knows that I dont claim to be an expert on anything and this just my personal opinion. Everything is open for debate. This is just my understanding of one example about how corrupt our system is.

And I completely agree with both of those statements. I tend to take the used and give it a longer life...Some vehicles are made in Mexico and Canada, though...

My Nissan D21 pickup was made in Tennessee (Came factory with a gun sleeve built into the back of the seat). Should have seen the look on the guys face that called it Jap crap, we compaired door stickers and turns out only one of us owned an American "made" truck. My Toyota tacoma was made in Texas. Weird right!

Yup. I think they make Hondas in Georgia...The lazy American unions, though...yeah...there used to be a Chrysler plant in St. Louis. I've talked to a few people that worked there. I couldn't do it. Watch 90% of people find their way out of doing a damn thing on a daily basis. It's like they would work harder not to work than the work was itself. Plus, doing things that would make way more work and stress for others. Was told that some workers would throw a rag through a beam curtain that would shut down the whole line just to get out of working...
