I found a couple 74 or 75 valiant or dart in the junk yard. Can't really tell what they were cause they stripped except for the front bumpers. These look really tough. Flat in the front and the back and the material they're made of thick steel. Other than loaded I was wondering how these hold up on the bigger cars. Particularly do they bend in the middle right away? The ends I know will bend easy. I have a used royal Monaco and this bumper looks tougher I just weary because of how flat it is. I have quite a few of these and they hold up well. Ran one stock on a well built bubble Caddy and it did well. My favorite bumper of all are the Coronet bumpers.

Had it happen 3 times before I figured out that one had something to do with the other.

Haha, I had one I ran on 4 cars, 5 shows. Just seam welded. What finally did it in was a hard corner shot to the wall when another was hung on my azz and the 2 of us gunned it at the wrong time for me.
I have another now that I'm saving for a show that doesn't allow loaded bumpers.

A buddies bent both there and at the firewall last year, as well as sideways at the firewall... On another note, those bumpers are awesome, ran one on a shocker last year and not a dent in it yet.. Just got another but it's the one without the corner holes, fury I think?

Based on Google Images, it looks like a 74 Coronet bumper is a little different than a 75 Coronet/Fury bumper. If this is the case, what are the differences, does it make a difference for a derby? Thanks

Yes they are different... The one dm440c posted is a 75 coronet, which is also what I ran, the 75 fury doesn't have the vent holes which is what I just bought for $25... Not sure which one Lincoln is actually talking about tho

Not sure which one Lincoln is actually talking about tho Sorry, I should have clarified myself. I know a 75 Gran Fury has the vent holes. What I'm talking about is when you look at pics of a 74 Coronet they look a little different than a 75 Coronet but maybe not? I believe a 75 Coronet and a 75 pinch frame Fury bumper look to be the same.

Another question....I picked up a 78 pinch frame Monaco. The bumper looks like a regular Coronet/Fury bumper from 75-76 but the Dodge has signal lights. When I got it off, there's no back beam to it, all that's there is the chrome shell. Is that normal for these Monaco's?

Thanks for that, ya I know that some pinch framer bumpers are solid and some have the light holes, actually I've got one of each at home. Just curious on those 74 Coronets.
