I searched through and couldn't find a thread on this already.
I scored a sweet 74-78 flat Mopar bumper off a Newport. Don't know the exact year. But it's very clean besides one bottom corner in the backing. Seam welded would it hold up for a couple of runs on a 80s Caprice?

The question you should be asking is will an 80's caprice hold up to a seam welded mopar flat bumper...

agreed with Johnny, those bumpers are awesome and tough... I have a seam welded up 76 gran fury which isnt near as hard of a bumper and have wrecked 2 80s + fords with it, bumper still has an easy 1 or 2 more runs in it

Haha, some people told me they were good, and some people told me they're useless. Each and every seam on it is going to be welded. Inner and outer. Sent from my XT907 using proboards Attachments:

I paid a pretty penny for it, so it better be worth it.. I'm gonna weld every seam I can find, and then some more.

1974 no vent hole Newport front bumpers are the best mopar flat bumper...IMO Schweet. I sae the car go buy the night before I got it and I told my dad, "We better go take the front bumper off that car tomorrow" and we went to the scrapyard and got it. Too bad they didn't sell cars, otherwise we would've taken the whole thing. 74 Newport, 2 door, 400 engine. Sent from my XT907 using proboards
