Jugulator have you seen the video of the 4.6 that someone fit up a distributor to the right bank of the engine? Engine ran on a stand but this would be useless to us because the distributor would be almost touching the radiator.

Just put a 351W down in it and be done. The hell with the 4.6 to much damn work for a little engine. Hell! for all the crap you all have been discussing moving this moving that, does this go before this what the hell!! Simple people simple! that is the key! and yup! Lenny know's his sh!t, but is it worth all that? 302 351 0r hell a 351m 400 429 or a 460 you would have been done a month ago. Just saying work smarter not harder. Not that i'm against anybody running a fomoco product but damn!

To be honest setting up my 4.6 was actually not as bad as I was thinking it would be. Even though there was wiring to be moved and such I only had for the past month the 1-2 days a week to do anything and for a stock show motor swaps can't be done. So if i did have time and a motor along with rules to allow it to be done I'm sure I would. So in defense for us that can't do anything like that learning how to use the stock 4.6 is very useful especially if you do it right and have a lot of fun during your 10-15 minutes. If I had a video camera with me when I did mine and everyone helped me along the way I could put it on YouTube and people would appreciate being shown how to do it rather than take a lot of time learning and asking what to do next. I'll be running my 95 marquis stock show and if I can give itheck I will know I did a good job and its worth sharing it. Just my 2 cents on this ifiI build another bubble and have time and rules allow swaps and tilting you bet I'd love to take everything to the max.

After you figure out what to do with them it's not hard to move some wiring around. There's some good points with these engines also-they don't flood out, stall,or die from heat. The newer 4.6 has a limp/shutdown system that keeps them running when they get super hot. Stay tuned for m current build-it's an 06 vic with the stock 4.6 but it's built like a vic from meanest ford pages.I'll post some pics when I progress a little further.

Bunch of things we just posted not long ago most is very simple and just pull all the wiring out of the doors/ chassis and cut at the dash. Under the hood just unplug them at the drivers side firewall and pull the wiring out along the fenders and core support. Remove the blower and all that fun stuff including the heater core and wiper stuff off. After that take the alt output to the distribution box off and stuff the wiring through the hole left by the heater core. Extend the wire for the alt and reconnect it. The box should be long enough to rest on the passenger floor along with all the wiring that went to it besides the alt wire but will fit once you extend it. Leave the dash in so the alt can charge if it doesn't tie the yellow and lg/r wire together and connect it to the alt output post and it will charge. Take the coils off and mount them or secure them onto of the motor better. Take inner fenders off. Reconnect the wires and put the wires where the wiper box was. You shouldn't need the Maf sensor plugged it should run fine. The rest is up to you but I feel its a good way to get you started and the basics done.

Question: What do I need to do with the oil cooler below the radiator? ('99 police interceptor). My first derby is in 3 wks......

I would double check with Lenny but the oil cooler I would just loop. Its only there for long idle for the cops and doesn't serve any purpose during the derby

Seems vulnerable to the first couple of hits....don't want to lose engine oil. So just cut and loop the lines to the cooler together?
