I was going to post in the WIW thread but though this may be better, anyone know what a mid 70s(i think 74-75) vega hood would be worth(derby price, although it is clean enough to paint for a restorer)?

I think your best bet would be someone restoring or making a drag car

Well my Monza is done dafter all my work still went down would not suggest creasing the rears. Mine was staying solid till we creased and after three notches in it still went down. Took a huge hit to passenger side almost rolled it, caused the firewall to bend right behind the distributor. Also broke the fuel cell started dumping fuel everywhere and pinched the starting wires so it wouldn't start which ended up being a good thing. Also broke the transmission mounts off the subframe passenger side so it was dragging the ground and dumping fluid. After wire repair and a new fuel tank motor fired up and we drove it off the trailer

Anybody got steel rims from a Monza? Mine was the Spyder and came with aluminum rims. I obviously don't want to run aluminums, but when I put steel rims from, say, a Chevette (same lug pattern) the offset on them causes them to hit the tie rod end. I've already changed to longer studs and 2 3/8" spacers on each side but they still rub. I could probably get away with one more spacer on each side but I'd like to see if anyone has anything. Also, would it possibly be okay to heat up the arm that the tie rod end bolts up into and bend it inward or will that screw me?

You do not want to heat & bend the spindle.

It's not the spindle, its just like a solid bar that the tie rod end bolts up through.

I've been calling it like a steering arm.

They bolt to the spindle on the outside & the center link on the inside.

I know what you're talking about and we're talking about 2 different things, I just don't know what to call the part that's out on the hub...trying to upload a picture but it says it's too big...Fortunately, I just got longer wheel studs and wheel spacers and now I'm good so this question is irrelevant now lol

I found out Saturn wheels will work but the offset is too much, I'm just going to cut centers out and move it back and weld it back in
