What does everyone do with the big aircleaner box on a 2000 neon? Should I take it off or cut it down?

What does everyone do with the big aircleaner box on a 2000 neon? Should I take it off or cut it down? Does it have any sensors hooked into it, or just a big plastic air box? I tend to remove any air boxes if possible, so plastic doesn't blow apart and suck up into the engine.

for a rear bumper some thing that is soft and will go up with the trunk not to heavy or itll plow. a 1998 Chrysler intrepid rear bumper ive found to hold up good after you weld the bumper to the mounting plates IMO. as for the front that depends on your rules. my rules allow me to run 4x4 square tubing 1/4" thick. so id run that. but a stock show id run a front bumper off an early 80's Malibu.

all the neons ive seen pack in nicely automatically without help. but I would put a notch in each frame rail to be on the safe side.
to stiffen the front. what I would do is, put 5/8" or 3/4" all thread thru the hood down thru the rad support down thru the top of the frame down to the bottom, bolt with big washers. bolt 2 sets of angle iron on the hood and the fender so you can bolt the angle irons together keeping hood and fender locked together. do this both sides 2 sets each. then use a nice solid bumper (depending on your rules) id use a 80s Malibu bumper make some bumper shocks for it stick them in the frame push them nice and tightly up against the all thread. then bolt the shocks to the frame. then weld it.

OK I've got a 2002 Chrysler Sebring with a 2.4 I'm having problems since I've started my wire delete. Was running fine then i removed battery and computers to weld my dash bar in and mount my column. I hooked everything back up cranked it with the key it started and idled then died. It did this three times fourth time it would not crank. I ran a hot wire to the starter and it would crank but not start. The motor has fire and I have fuel to fuelrail but injectors are not working. Does anyone have any insight as to my problem?

Check your fuses. May have a bad ground wire somewhere or loose connection when putting computers back in. May have popped a fuse after that 3rd time.

Just make sure there is still a path for air flow to reach into the engine. You don't want that plastic box shattering and sucking plastic chunks into the engine.

I got it figured out last night it was in the wiring to my ignition switch. Would a 2002 have a chipped key in it. I had unplugged the the plug that hooked into the the key cylinder.
