Went to cold start my Neon, turn the key on, have power (dash lights come on) go to turn the key and nothing. No crank or anything. Anyone else have this problem? Bad ground?

Need more info. have you messed with wiring? stock ignition, hot wired? Nope. Stock ignition, fresh unstripped car. It ran, it's been sitting this winter and I went to go move it the other day. Put the battery from my truck in it... turn the key on, dash lights fan fuel pump etc turn on.. turn the key over no crank.. nothing.. dash lights, fan, etc shut off instantly as well. Put the battery in my truck and it fires right up. I'm thinking ground or maybe ECM/PCM. Gonna look at it tomorrow weather permitting.. just wanted some opinions.

I have my 99 neon ready to go.Just got done changing tires and welding, tried to start it up,and nothing.Dash lights come on,clutch switch is fully pushed in,but won't turn the starter. No click or anything.I hot wired the starter and it will crank the motor..But I am not getting fire.I have checked all fuses and changed a couple relays.Any ideas? Did you ever find your solution?

If it is a good battery which it sounds like it is, you definitely have a bad connection somewhere. I would take I close look at the battery cables. any corrosion?

Well after a full morning of hand smashing and working outside in the cold here's how my day went. 1. Swapped out terminals and re striped wires for fresh connections - nothing. 2. Checked all fuses - none broken. 3. Swap starter relay - still nothing. 4. Jump the start solenoid - it fires right up.

Yes, but can't I just bypass the solenoid altogether?
