After waiting and waiting, for the coputer to come in,it gets her and its wrong one. But now they tell me even if I get one,I still have to get it scanned and flashed at the auto shop. I can't just throw this in,hook it up and go?Or will it not run right.? I was told as long as it comes out of the same sear and same motor/transmission, it'll work. However, I just went through the hassle of getting a BCM for my F250 and had to be the same year, options, motor, trans, etc. and there was a specific number on the side as well. Turns out they made 16 different modules for an 01! Couldn't find a used one anywhere in North America so had to go new. Almost $500 later too. Anyways, the guys asked for my vin number, all the specifications for the truck and the mileage to program the new module. Hopefully this isn't the case but it might point you in the right direction.

minicar15 - Whiplash is correct if the motor (sohc or dohc) and trans are the same you are good t go as far as derbies. The computer will have the wrong vin without being programmed at the dealer but its a derby car so who cares. My winter beater neon has a donor computer in it and the computer still thinks it's in its original car but it works perfect in every other way.

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to the crappy spindles these things have. I have broken 3 on my figure 8 car and each time it has pulled out the axle and ended my night. I plan on welding small plates to the axle tripods to keep them from popping out, but I am looking for a way to save/protect the spindles other then not taking front wheel hits. Thanks.

Just a random thought..........are the struts similar to those on a k-car? Not the strongest strut out there, but not the weakest either.....and the spindles are decent.

I dont know why but after seeing ZTR09's neon I wanna put a 3100 with a cutlass Ciera K member in one of these things for a short wheel base show. Any thoughts?

Would it fit (the 3100)?

Just picked this neon up for my sister next year What would be a good bumper to run on the front of it? Just going to be a chain and go car and the bumper must be from a midsize/compact car.
