Is it possible to take a 95 neon motor out and put it in a 97 neon? Complete swap motor and tranny They will physically bolt right up. The 95 and 97 computers are totally different so you would need to change that too, maybe the wiring harness too.

Lol yeah I know Deven, but I was just saying, thats what happened to mine, and I could have prevented it, I just built the car real quick. Oh defiantly. You've seen some of the last minute turds i've built! Talking to someone on Facebook, it gave me an idea. Here is a picture of a Neon he ran. I'm going to do the same idea with the trunk by creasing it down the middle like he did, and adding a rear window bar. Then crease the quarter panels as well. Here is a picture of my 96 so far. My sister is running it in Erin in July.

I have my 99 neon ready to go.Just got done changing tires and welding, tried to start it up,and nothing.Dash lights come on,clutch switch is fully pushed in,but won't turn the starter. No click or anything.I hot wired the starter and it will crank the motor..But I am not getting fire.I have checked all fuses and changed a couple relays.Any ideas?

And it did run.I made sure of that after changing the gas tank and battery box. I put 3weeks building into this, and now been trying to get it to run for past 3 hours with no luck. Any one else had this problem or know what to do to help me out with it?Thanks.

You've been lucky. Welding with a battery hooked up should pop an ecm 10 times out of 10

After waiting and waiting, for the coputer to come in,it gets her and its wrong one.
But now they tell me even if I get one,I still have to get it scanned and flashed at the auto shop. I can't just throw this in,hook it up and go?Or will it not run right.?
