Quite honestly, if I could bring myself to spend the money, Id run LP.
Alot of off roaders and rock crawlers run it because its a closed system and can perform at any angle, IE: nosed to the moon.
Not to mention the running temps and the lack of carbon in your oil.

The race fuel? I researched what Swanny was talking about, and it came to a VP page. There were a bunch of numbers and 110 was one of them. I like 50/50 race fuel and pump gas Is this a straight mix? Half gas, half race fuel in the tank? Or is there another additive? Quite honestly, if I could bring myself to spend the money, Id run LP. Is LP propane by any chance? How would you even set that up? I'm probably not going that route. I'd go the route of 50/50 or VP fuel. Maybe Alky in the near future. And E85 is just pump gas, nothing real special?

Yes.
There's actually a company that makes the whole setup built to your needs. All you do is supply the tank.

I would never run lp when you get hot the regulator freezes don't know why but got a buddy that has it on his truck. Alcohol/methanol I just bought a 55 gal drum last week and it was 3.85 a gallon plus 13.95 for the additive carb I bought a rebuilt straight from Holley for 350 set up for alky a good fuel pump/regulator/bypass all in 1 is 298 from summit.as far as fuel line run a Teflon hose (alky doesnt rot it)if you want rubber or just hard line with stainless line. You use alittle over 1 1/2 times what you would use with gas

E85 is nothing like pump gas yes u can get it out of a pump but however its 85% ethanol and 15% pump gas. it runs cool just like alky adds up to 10-15% more power depending on set up plus you dont have to worry about the down time. it dont eat up lines or carb but however it does require more fuel as does alky. you can buy differant metering blocks for carbs to rebuild to run alky or e85 depending on what carb u have. ive got a holly 4412 2bbl the new metering block gaskets and jets is $155+ shipping for e85 then $150 for a holly black pump and do alot of tuning

Alcohol and methanol are the same fuel the carb was 350 the pump was 298 get on ebay and Holley rebuilds and sells their returned carbs alky won't rot copper it's just more expensive since you'll have to run I'd say at least 1/2" line e85 is 85% ethanol 15% gas which you do get some of the same benefits as alky to each his own just do some research if your going to run alky there's tricks to warming up your motor and general maintance you need to do

Dude, really get serious here... you're running a stock 318 nothing special nothing high compression nothing cam'd nothing special...
run a typical pump gas premium whatever is the highest at your closes gas station to curb pre detonation in a motor that may have some carbon build up and hot cylinder temps...
alky will burn close to double, trust me I've done lab tests on it through college and look at people that run E85 in their flex fuel vehicles, worse mileage, more fuel consumption... get it?? it burns more to do the same... E85, Alky, same principals...
Alky is going to be far more temperamental....
there is actually some promoters that have banned it due safety reasons, that whole hard to see it burn thing, and gas fires DO HAPPEN!!
If the motor is not "built" for it, why add more complication into things... but hey if you want to waste "gas money" go right ahead, it's not going to make you last any longer far better area's to stick your "gas money"

Great point until you really get serious in this sport get a little older and wise up a bit and get alot of derbies under your belt and then start building motors and running differant fuels and experimenting on your own . not trying to be a pecker again but come on guy i know we all started somewhere not putting you down or anything but start small and build up big. your running a "STOCK" mopar the build you a mild motor and run race fuel then build you a hot small block and run alky or e85 or nitromethane if you want but you just got on this site a couple months ago and almost got banned right off the bat. take it slow and one day at a time learn to build and have fun with it. once again not trying to put you down or scary you off but step back and slow down start with one thing at a time. have a great day
