I bought a red holley fuel pump are they any good and what s the main difference between the blue and the red The blue pump puts out a higher psi. You need to run a regulator and set your pressure. The red pump is supposed to be preset, not requiring a fuel pressure regulator. Other than that they are about the same put. Blue one may flow slightly higher volume

That vintage fuel sounds perfect for our application, not overkill on octane for mild compression engines and a long shelf life, plus high lubriciity to boot. On a side note, could anyone recommend a set up for refueling that doesn't suck? Regular 5 gallon jugs and funnels are a pain and can make a mess. I'm considering purchasing a vp racing fuels jug if that is easier to use. What a lot of guys are doing nowadays is yes, buying a fuel jug but then cutting a whole in the roof of the car big enough for a piece of irrigation tube that fits in the tank, run the tube through the roof and just stand on the car and poor through the tube. way easier on the back and just about everything else I have one of those jiggle siphons, they are awesome. I cut a hole in the roof and put the 5 gal vp pail on the roof and fill it that way. no more trying to pour it.

Has anyone else ever had any trouble with steel fuel cells collecting rust inside? And if so, how did you go about cleaning it out?

I got a steel tank from M&M a few years ago and haven't had any issues with rust but so far has had fuel in it at all times. Not sure what will happen sitting on the shelf empty.

A quart of transmission fluid during storage helps but they all rust eventually if they are steel.

Yeah my tank is from M&M boys as well and also had gas in it while stored. I think I'm just going to spend some money and get a stainless fuel cell.

I've had my m&m tank 4 seasons now, no issues. I store it full with a little bit of mystery oil when its not derby season.

There is a coating you can get to put in the tank that cost like 15 bucks. Its a gas tank sealer.
