Is it normal for those to nose like that? When they bend it's pretty typical for them to go like that....and when they finally start to go they go fast.

Also mopar 17 I noticed from some of your pictures the fronts of your dobas just go in rather than up. Mine just went up like in the pictures.

Looks like you had fun... LOL. Guess those back tires weren't much of an issue after all.

Mine typically bend at the firewall but didn't you say you had some 1/2" plate there? If they don't bend in front of the firewall they will bend in the doors. After all something has to give.....from where your feet sit to the front bumper I can think of about 6 spots on each side that I've had them bend.

I did trim around the rear tires before. And they did give me some issues.
This car bent right in front of my plate under the firewall and split the frame seam. I'm thinking I might have put my plate a little to far back.
I also put my rear hood bolts all the way back where the fender meets the firewall with a 1/4in plate gusset. I think that caused the fender to stay straight but the frame bent. It pushed the tops of my front tires into the inner fender. That gave me some issues. I noticed most of mopar 17 cars the hood bolts are all on the front half of the hood.
I think between those two things that is where I went wrong. I will post pics later.

I wouldn't say what I do is right, but it works ok for me. In all honesty that car if it just stood up in the nose could probably be pulled back down and fixed?

I'd say for a heat win and a feature 4th yourself and the car did pretty well.
Unless of course, there were only 4 cars in the feature, lol.

It bent in front of my firewall plate. The top of the raideator support tore away from the fenders. It just looks like it only bent In front.
12 car feature. Finished behind a galaxie a vic and another doba.

Thanks! Sonora ca. I had a gopro in my car. I am trying to post it on YouTube but the file is huge. Says it will take 25 hours. When it is posted I'll put the link here.
