How good is a 74 monaco bumper. Plenty good. Seam weld it and it will run multiple shows in our area.

Post pics please Shocker new Yorkers and imps were the only car to come with pointys. There were other cars that had pointed bumpers but they are not considered pointys. 70's ford fronts come to mind.

Anyone have any idea what kind of bumper this is ? (I didn't put it on there). I was thinking maybe like a 1980's Chevy vans or any other van. It's on an autocross car and has like 20+ runs on it and is finally starting to push the radiator in. Any ideas ? would like to try one again that's fresh, btw it is seam welded but not stuffed, Attachments:

does a 69 mark 3 have a pointy or is it just a skin I think most bumpers were just skins until 73. And most of them in 73 were junk too. 74 was the first year for decent bumpers on most cars to the best of my knowledge. This was due to the start of frontal collision standards required by the federal government. Some cars started with bumper shocks in 73 but then they realized that they needed better bumpers.

I found that odd myself. Not sure how you seam weld a bumper skin.... not sure why you'd want another one either. sorry guys guess i'm not 100% sure what i'm saying my bad, y'all are probably right just ignore the stupidity.

I wanna hear everyone's opinions, what is the king of bumpers? For every car not just caddies, Vic's etc. from mild to wild excluding loaded bumpers. What is the best all around bumper for every application?
