Do you happen to know it they are close to the same? Im thinking about running it on my 69 continental mark 3 Without seeing the backing of the 76 (google image search) i'd say they are the same bumper. flat steel backed, with a small point, i would say its comparable to the ford elite bumper on pg 9 with less point and its flatter along the back (mounting) side. I haven't looked at it in a while but i think you are corret from what I can tell. Im not sure how well it would mount on the continental though.

The bumpers onthe continental now are crap, the aluminum plate with nothing behind it. I also have a rear bumper from a 79 cadilac deville, it has been used once but but doesn't have much damage, more from it being my first full sized car than actually being used. Has anyone had experience actually making contact with these or if anyone knows how they will hold up? Thanks for the help.

Are there any good 60s bumpers at all? Going to a yard in a couple hours but it has primarily 60s stuff. Thanks

I'm building a stock type car, no frame welding or anything like that. It's a 89 chevy caprice wagon. I am trying to figure out what bumper to run and what would hold up better, either a preran 80s steel Vic bumper or a 80s gm steel back bumper? I would assume they'd be about the same strength but I could be wrong. Thanks.
