Got a question concerning a future swap:
Ive got a pre-ran 98 cop car (its actually the one in the pic to the left) that has now had the motor and tranny pulled and is ready for a powerplant.
I just got done rebuilding an LA 318/727, and am looking to throw it in there. Its a hot block and only has the water pump and balancer pully.
With this, I know the ford boxes tend to break without p/s, so what is an alternative manual box that will work with it and without th need of p/s?
Thanks guys

Does anybody have any tips on what I can do to my steering column on my 90 marquis to reinforce it? I can't get a new steering column setup, so wondering if there is anything I can do with the existing one that would help make it stronger. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

Replace the rag joint and you will be fine. But our cars are well built.

I used a Craftsman 1/2" universal joint on mine. Still working good after three derbys.

This year we can not weld our a-arms down we have to bolt them. Any body know the best way to do this? We can have up to a 1" bolt. I can weld the bolt to frame but i was thinking of drilling a hole in a-arm and the coil spring pocket but upon looking up in the pocket not sure if i can do that or not. I don't run sbc i run big block fords and without doing anything the fender set on the tires so has to be pretty strong. Any thinkers out there? What is the best way to do this. I use to just weld four tall lug nut,s to top of spring be four we could weld upper,s down.It will make it stiff and stand tall. It,s all emagenatioun from there.
