The trunk lids and hoods is anyone flipping them upside down so the “skeleton” bars are upwards? Most modern trunks and hoods have pre bend spots on them if they were flipped those spots would be facing up and the Althread could be placed strategically on those points so they are gone.

That's a very old trick that was done back in 90s. Mostly to mopars. So yes it's been done.

I have a 91 vic. Planning on “U”ing my truck lid. I’m cutting speaker deck out so I can weld solid to the floor of the hump. I will weld the truck solid on sides first. And use a chain and jack to get it as flat as I can. My question is. The back of the trunk lid are you guys cutting them off or notching it and folding over flat so it’s inside the trunk before smashing it down and welding it to the rear tail light tin?

Quick question, I have a 90 town car and it will have 22” hump plates , 2 pieces of all thread and fully seam welded . Just trying to plan my trunk . What bumper height (from ground to bottom of bumper) should I run . Can’t wedge but I’m thinking a canoe and small tuck at the end is what I’m gonna end up doing with a couple dimples ( 1 behind the shock and another 8” back from there “closer to the hump” ) any thoughts or changes I should do?

With humpplate I wouldnt tuck it, just canoe it and weld it to back sheetmetal. Bumper height run low, my preference is about 13" from bottom of bumper to ground.

Cut the over hang of the trunk off. Way easier and looks cleaner when smashed down in place.
