Ok..sorry I had to ask 😂 I’m completely new to running full size cars and I know that it’s been talked about earlier in the thread so I just wanted to make sure I understand what exactly I need to do Don't be sorry. Honest question gets honest answers....On any of these stamped arms you will need to cut out the center bar on them and then bolt to the control to the brackets. Ford 80's style with work without moving the upper bracket but will be a little sloppy with the factory bolt (not a huge deal if welding down but if suspension is operating then drill out the bracket holes and run a larger 5/8 bolt) to fit arms better. Also use the washers to take up the space between braket and arms. There is some trimming to be done to get them to max out for height also. Spindles are different for ball joint too so either put a washer and nut on the ball joint and tighten the cross bolt down are good as you can. 3/8 bolt will fit hole and go by the ball joint. This will make more sense once you get into it more... Or 80s style ford spindle will go right on the lower ball joint. Make sure and leave shock in when taking apart to keep spring in and lower arm up.

Stub wise a Lincoln square body front on square body merc rear we put a 98 to 02 body on it. So I'm sure they can go other way. Only reason we did it was the Lincoln was a built stub and had a wrecked merc front. Pieces id it with a old mod body to clean up the yard.

the difference in length is in the side rail from the big hole in the frame under rear doors to the body mount in front of the humps. So yes any rear merc/ford frame will fit under a merc/ford body and the front stubs are the same on all of them minus the excess frame in front of the core support bolt.

Right which is why ours worked we cut right at where side rail met the rear frame on Lincoln at the seam. Then for the other rear we grinder seam out and slid the Lincoln side rail in the other rear frame and welded to look factory at seam.

Honest question!
I got a 01 merc frame. I tilted at the crush box and got the frame sitting where I want it to. I put the body back on but rad support is sitting a little lower than I’d like it to. Any suggestions or ideas on how to get it to raise up the 3-5” I need? Thought about throwing spacers on the crush box body mounts.

Curious why the massive front tires? The build looks good.

Any suggestions or ideas on how to get it to raise up the 3-5” I need? Thought about throwing spacers on the crush box body mounts. Loosen all the mounting bolts for the fenders and core support. Jack frame off the ground and jack stand it up. Now jack up the bottom of the core support to where you like it and measure the distance from frame mount and bottom of core and weld in a spacer to fit ...
