I don't see a thread for this, so I thought I'd start one. I've ran early 90s escorts and one tempo, I've found that my escort gt with a 1.8 DOHC mazda engine has done the best, but these cars are super soft. Was considering going to a different model, but the 1.8 is such a strong little engine and can handle heat so well.
Anyone have any input?

5 speed chevettes with the rear end welded possi. Prefer a 2 door, but my four door does just fine. Although they are hard to find anymore.

I ran a 89 honda accord last year and am gettin ready to run it again this year, has a 1.8 5 speed and it flys, gets around the corners well and car can take a hit, but i do however race on a dirt figure 8 track that uses the corners of a smaller oval track somewhere between 1/4 and 3/8 mile. So the corners are alot bigger then the rest of yalls.

I got a neon that runs like a top. Mine runs so good that my dad bought one for himself after he totaled his escort

I've ran a ford tempo, geo prism, and dodge neon. The tempo was too big and slow. The prism was by far the fastest car, and it held up pretty well too. The neon blew up first run so I don't have much to compare to.
