Here would be my choice for you Mopar guys, go to a MSD RTR system, its small, billet housing, good electronics, not china made junk like the skip white pro comp stuff, yes these are expensive but they will not let you down. These sell for 349.99. Attachments:

Ok so since we are on the topic of coils and distributors, hei vs points etc... What's the difference in the old points and electronic ignition? And I have a MSD Blaster 2 coil, is this an internally resisted coil? If so, what if you run the ceramic b.r. Anyways? Dumb question I know but would the exterior ballast resistor get rid of the heat before it reached the coil? And any difference in the electronic ignition set up with the 5 prong ecu or "old" points distributor? Is the electronic what's known as lean burn?

lean burn is different than electronic, it is absolute garbage and will cause issues if ran, if it is a must to run then run with the original ignition key on column, not sure on the specs on it... electronic i also do not like personally for 2 reasons, 1 being i believe more wires is more ways for stuff to go wrong and the second is on my first car I ran (74 newport) original 400, i was going to run the electronic but I had it stripped and water got into the ecu and burned it out so it would no longer start so i swapped it out for points and got rid of all the other junk and have had zero issues since...

Yes get a bushing from Winslow in the vending section and a Buick HEI and it will be the same as your Chevy. It works well for me Ill never run with out it.
