What tire dose everyone favor for these dry-hard packed tracks. I really like the idea of rally tires with a hard tread compound but im not spending $400 for 2 tires!

I know all 23x8.50-14s aren't created equally.... anybody know what the shortest ones are? Ones that actually run under 23"? trac Cheif are my preference. Galaxy and the rest seem to ballon up in the middle to me

I was thinking the Carlisle's were shorter, but I wasn't 100%. taterjuice do you know what they actually measure mounted and everything? (I realize different rims, pressure, etc. will change the measurement slightly) got a pair mounted I could measure soon

Anyone ever run donuts on the front of a rear wheel drive? Alot of locals did here in misouri but ran the taller ones only. Then now we got 14.5 as steer tires on 3rd Gen camaro an 7.50 15s loaders in 2nd Gen firebird an 235s 15 on 85 monte all as steers.

Anyone ever run donuts on the front of a rear wheel drive? Yes, 14" and 16". The 16" we use is close to 5.00-15 height.

Thanks, I was just concerned about traction more than anything, both places our compacts derby here in Alaska are hard packed and slick as ice (both are dirt tracks, front straights). As long as the mustang and Camaro can still turn I am not picky on how they look. I'm too cheap to pay for skid steers shipping up here, especially when I build about 10 cars a year!

Does anyone know what is the smallest mud tire at least 8 ply that will fit on a 16 inch rim. Running a three quarter ton truck and need tires, but I don't know my options for a 16inch rim. I want the tire to stay small around 27 inches.

Probably a 215/85-16 is the shortest 10 ply I can think of.

Do you know the brand of tires your thinking of? I couldn't find aggressive tread in that size.

Hey guys stumbled across some pretty nice tires the other day and I'm going to be buying them for my front wheel drive derbies next year. They are Stigma & Power King brand Super Traction 2's 7.00 x 15. These things will be mean and they have a DOT stamping so they can be ran almost any derby. WIN WIN
