Generally a shock bumper car is better for a bone stock show.

I was planning on mounting a 10 bolt bia housing under a 64 Galaxie, will it be too wide or stick out past the fender wells a bunch. I would measure myself but with everything buried under the snow it makes it difficult. 10 bolt is way too wide

Needing som advice... im wanting to take a car for metal mayhems bone stock class... i may have a 63 or 64 monterey lined up... would it be worth the drive 2 illinois or do i need 2 keep looking? Save it for a weld show..if the Edsel is a 58. Corsair or citation then it's a big frame..front horns and rear frame completely different from a reg galaxie.. In those yrs the leafs are not as wide, you'd have to change em out..and it's not unusual for the body to tear away from the frame in the rear or in the lowers if you can't give some help to the stock body bolts/washers.. Good luck

The rules r basically weld bumpers, change mounts, chain doors. What rear end will fit on these?

I'd just use half leafs and clamp them on top of the existing pack without disassembling it if you can't use short leafs etc.

I would measure myself but with everything buried under the snow it makes it difficult. 10 bolt is way too wide Are you meaning without cutting the fender wells at all? I was able to measure tonight and at the widest point there is roughly 4 3/8 inches of difference from outside drum to outside drum? But 8 inches from the inner fender well to the drum on the 9 inch. I also have access to a midsize length ten bolt bia, which i think could go in without any fender well cutting. Thoughts?

The narrower the rear end the better. That way your fenders dont get into the tires. Just as long as the tires arent too close to the leafs because if the rims bend they could get into the leafs

I use an 80 F-100 9" rear in mine thats ALOT wider than the stock rear. Pretty sure its a 60" housing ...... tires are level with the quarters now..... I ALWAYS cut my quarters out a bit on these for clearance

If youre using regular gm mounts I mount a plate that comes forward off that pipe crossmember...... Gonna be putting a cradle in one tomorrow so we will see how that goes..... should be same concept though
