Hellbent, I would be afraid to run that timing belt open like that. Is that the first time you broke a belt?

Im guessing theres something that bolts onto the little blue bracket that keeps the hood out of the pulleys. I'd run it open like that.

Hellbent, I like that 3/4" X 4" windshield bar. Too bad it couldn't attach to that "DP"

There is a pulley protector that bolts to the head protector. Only part of the belt that is always uncovered is at the distributor pulley. Its the only time ive ever broke a timing belt. Get this. Frame rails stayed perfectly straight. No stress points in the frame at all. But my 3/8" engine cradle bent into my distributor pulley just enough to pinch the belt??? Thanks the 2x4 box tubing is a nice touch. There is a bar off my bash bar thats tied into the head protector
