Pinto and mustang 2 shocks are great. Weld them in factory position ( don't drill and compress) slide them back on the frame so that the flat part your bumper is mounted to touches the core support. Bolt them through the frame and weld ad much as you can. A 76 impala bumper will work great on it.

Ok cool what about seams and stuff what all do you weld? Ill be putting a cage and possibly a gas tank protector in. Im hoping to run kickers straight down on all four corners of the cage. Should i weld the hatch on it ? Anything else im forgetting to do? Also im trying to.find a motor for it any suggestions?

2.3 and a stick shift to really bring out the gears. I would weld it but maybe not solid. Weld it firewall forward and weld the sub frame underneath the firewall where it bends underthe car mine bent weird there cause I didn't weld it

Will explain everything I did to this car after I run it in a couple of months...if you have questions please pm me...2.3 going down in it tonight...mini spool tomorrow night, then will hopefully have the car finished this weekend!!! Got the 4 post cage in, next will be the rollover bar...still wondering what to do with the hatch though

thats a great looking car. im hoping to build mine good enough to run a few times but i dont want to go crazy. i was told weld as much as possible but i dont want to go over board either. i like to be competitive but i dont like to cheat haha

Ive never ran a gm axle....im pretty much all ford all the way...unless its an amc; then american motors makes it ford shakes it
