I have never built one. Just based on their rules and how these cars are put together..... Under current management, it won't happen, but if we ever decide to run their rules again, it will probably be with one or 2 of these. I've always been a fan of less than pointy, but have seen pix around of heavily built 2nd gen's that have held them. What most of the DDRA (go-derby) crowd fails to realize is that at 108", the Pacers, Gremlins & Mavericks will hold their own (to a degree), but are over rated. Not knocking the drivers there at all...some of the hardest cars around. Just saying that with 108 being a relatively new thing there, a few cats are still trapped in the bag. Sounds like you need to run a car in Colorado. Why did you quit and what is holding you back?

As a moderator for this site, it is probably in my best interest to avoid public promoter bashing. It's no secret that DDRA had its share of dramatic problems in the past couple years, which may or may not have eventually rotated themselves out, encouraging me & mine (4 of us) to return. Now with the other 2 in the mix...no chance. My problems with all 3 are exactly that...mine. I have no reason or right to dictate where anyone else runs.
Although I should have personally long since hung up the helmet, I am far from ready to do so. In the mean time, Nebraska, Kansas, and the eastern edge of Colorado still have plenty to fill our schedule.
I just thing these 2nd gens are the ultimate car to fit the rules.
Edit.....^^^^^think not thing

C4 u say to tie the Halo bar to the leafs print perch? Do mean to go through the floor and have the leafs attach directly or to just weld the Halo to the floor above the perch?

With most rules, weld it to the floor. With theirs, I'd go behind the perch, through the floor...get it be hind the pivot point.

why is the all thread in front of the body? mines goes through body as a body mount.

I replaced all six body body bolts with one inch all thread and my rules also allow six hood bolts that can go to the frame since it's an 81

He'll also be allowed to weld the hood solid.
