Do whatever you can with the front of the fenders. I wasn't allowed to do a whole lot at this derby so she's pretty stock but still pretty nasty. These things are fun as hell to derby and that's coming from a W-body guy.

Do you think you could pressure tip one without ripping the sub from the body?

Going up or down? I don't think I'd do either. When and if I do it I'll be cutting a pie out infront of the K-member and pushing the frame rails up to be straight with the rest of the sub. And the only way I would do that is if I could shorten it and the bumper mounting rules really sucked. I've got a crusty one out back that may just turn mod class this winter.

Pressure tipping requires no cutting... ya The front needs to be shortened quite a bit.

Another tip I'll share is that the factory trans crossmembers are junk. I used a cut down Buick cross member but a piece of channel would work nicely. Just cut it to contour the sub and weld it on.

Pressure tipping requires no cutting... ya The front needs to be shortened quite a bit. around here we call it cold bending but I understood what you meant. It could be done but i don't think it will do what you want. Are you talking about bending it down at the firewall or up infront of the K-member?

It's not cold tilting either ha. It involves loose body mounts, a engine, and a pota power. Ha. It would be more towards the fire wall than the cradle.
